However, I'm not gonna root for a black man's business failing. - especially not a black man with a black wife and a black child. At the very least even if his ass don't plant seeds into our communities(and he absolutely should), he is still building black wealth for his family. I'm not gonna hate on that. I'm not gonna cheer for that to fail, because if it isn't him it's gonna be another cac keeping it all to himself anyway.
this has been said a lot. is anybody even rooting for jay to fail or are they saying the product is trash?

the coli has people trying to be so militant now that saying something is trash from a black man is equivalent to being a c00n.

the product is medicore compared to its already established competition, the first impression commercial was lacking (to say the least). the rest of this is just extra stuff that piles on.

at the end of the day tidal is failing because its not better than its competition, not because people want Jay to fail :camby:

as was said earlier jay and his family isnt circulating this money back into the community. they get this money and on the next record he's gonna brag about what European clothing he has that we cant afford. so that talk needs to be deaded too

Spotify still isn't turning a profit. I hope the Coli accounts know that.

The free tier for spotify only accounts for 10% of revenue and 75% of its users are free users :heh:

People can diss tidal all they want but none of these idiots know the facts, free streaming makes zero financial sense and spotify already been rumored to be on the verge of completely dropping the free tier.

I can't stand Jay, but no black person should be rooting for a black person's business to fail unless it's directly harming the black community.

Black entrenpeurship, black economics, and black support of the two is CRUCIAL for our progression in a world that's fiercely loyal to white supremacy.

So let's not take too much glee in wanting Jay-Z to fail when these cacs who own spotify and pandora in all likelihood are white supremacists who see us as nothing but animals: cash cows, race horses, and savage pit bulls.

If you can't see people in this thread and others genuinely rooting for Jay to fail and laughing at his mistteps then I'm certainly not going to bother pointng them out for you lol. It's frequent enough where it shouldn't be that hard to find.

I find it humorous that you see so many articles from cacs trashing Jay every which way but for some reason it's outside of the realm of possibility that house negros - the mouthpiece for white people - are doing the same. Many black people are self-hating fools conditioned into not wanting to see blacks succeed and therefore take joy in their failures. Let's not be naive to this obvious fact just because "coli militancy" annoys you.

Are there people just pointing out that the product sucks? Sure, but there's plenty of the other too. No need to play extremes on either side.

I'm not rooting for Jay to fail. I was genuinely ready to support a service that was on par with Spotify and Pandora. However, the hubris shown by the parties involved was baffling. It's not just the price point. It's not just the service. It's both at the same time. You can't just do or say anything and say you're black and just expect black people to support you. That's an insult to us all.

I suggest they swallow their pride and offer the service for $4.99 a month or $50 a year. That or sell to Apple before there's nothing worth selling.

see but the problem, is they already raised prices and it's only been like 2 months. :damn:

http://www.vibe.com/2015/04/tidal-app-subscription-rates-increase/

"However, some reports are claiming it’s not the case. According to The Verge, there’s a small pricing difference in TIDAL website and TIDAL iOs app prices due to Apple’s own fees.
Apple takes 30 percent of the revenue made through apps in the App Store,
so in order for TIDAL to cover those fees, signing up through their iOs app will cost a little more."

That asking for you card number for a free trial is common. You guys never did a free Netflix or Hulu trial? fukk even a premium Spotify subscription trial ask for that information. Just make sure you cancel before the trial ends. Even if you cancel ahead you still get the rest of the trial free.

Jay said in an interview he didn't intend on being Spotifys number one competitor. I don't see how this is a disaster when the company is growing and continues to be mentioned among the leaders in the industry. These companies are giving him free publicity.
What changes do you see coming to streaming in general, and how does Tidal plan to react to those changes in a competitive environment, with everybody fighting for number one?

JAY Z
: We're cool with, you know, they can be McDonald's, we'll be Shake Shack. We don't have to be number one, we just want to be very specific and very great at what we do.

Kind of a sub cause the guy that bought McDonalds from the owners was selling shakes when he met them. I'm just reaching.

I'm not rooting for Jay to fail but I understand why many people do. He's been flaunting his wealth for twenty years. Name dropping designers, name brands, shytt no one in the hood can fukk with. This is probably his first clear L.

The presentation was just mad corny. From all the musicians just standing there looking uncomfortable, Kanye looking bored out of his mind, the daft punk robots. It was like whoever put that thing together thought it was going to be the coolest thing ever but it turned out to be the opposite. If it would've just dropped on the humble, more people would've just learned about it organically through the exclusive releases. Even if Bill Gates would've come out the gate with something like this people would've hated on it.

Jay should just undercut the competition and charge $5 a month.

People who don't subscribe to anything woudl sign up. People who sub to Spotify would likely convert.

And you'd win just by the #'s game. AS it stands, there's no incentive to sign up for Tidal.

Its a huge fiasco.

Dre had people buying $400 headphones. I wonder if Dre ever said more than two words about the headphones.

Jay and his fans saying people just dying to see a black man fail seems a little bit forced when Jay and Beyonce are worth a billy. Jay gotta admit there is something else at play, cause products do get shiited on and end up being a big success, Bill Gates cop no pleas when dudes Xbox was bricking #RROD.

Jay is getting anxious because he is short sighted, you can't forget companies have been trying to succeed at paid streaming service since 2001.
