To workout and stay in shape is one of the hardest/most disciplined things to do in life.

I have been the same weight/physique since 1992 (former Marine). I know this makes me an outlier, but it doesn't take nearly as much to stay in shape for EVERYONE as it does for you.

Hell, I haven't done much of any exercise aside from walking in over 20 years and a majority of my workday is spent on my feet, so there's that.

5' 11" & 160 lbs.

Watch your what you're eating and some bodyweight exercises every day (like after you wake up) and you'll be good. A lot of ppl are doing too much for the kinda lifestyle they actually lead and thats why they have a hard time being consistent/disciplined.

As someone who barely ever worked out, I now have a condition where I have to become a gym breh and eat a good diet to live a good quality life.

I agree. You have to make it routine. For example today I didn’t feel like going. And on top of that it was leg day:sadcam:. Push through and was glad I went.

With that said diet is the hardest shyt to do and it’s also the most important if you want to be lean.
bolded is facts . So many times I didn’t want to go but I knew the post work out high would have me:wow:

It really also comes down to the why ?

Why are you working out /eating healthy . If it’s strictly for women you gonna be on a roller coaster.

If you doing it for self , whether appearance or just to be healthy you good to go .

Also find little stuff to do that will keep you motivated. I go 4-5 days out the week . At least two of those I get up at 3a. Why , I read the story on Jimmy Butler doing the same during the off season & it motivated me to up my game.

Eating clean is easy if you’re a loaner. If you have friends, family, girlfriend, wife, kids you’ll constantly be pressured into eating things that go against your diet. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting so even if I fukk up my diet at night I know I’ll fast until lunch time. The holidays are also hard to get through. Tomorrow is a cheat day. I’m not even gonna get on the scale because that shyt is going to jump up like 8 pounds off of one day of eating everything in sight :francis:

Eating healthy is the harder part and cardio. I can lift all day but quarantine eating added some pounds I need to lose and I hate running. Instead I'm just running up the stairs at work.

If people aren't posting pictures (including pictures of how they looked when they say they "used to be cut") go ahead and just assume these a moderately in shape people who don't really know what they are talking about.

To get into great shape you need :

a clean healthy diet (no synthetic sugar, no processed meats/fats, no smoking, no alcohol).

7 hours of sleep at the exact same time (9-10pm) daily.

You gotta have your last meal at least 2 hours before you sleep or delay eating after you wake up by a few hours.

You need to alternate your cardio, run long distance for 2-3 days, then do sprints for 2 days consistently

You need to do full body exercises with an upper body or lower body focus daily (meaning you work your upper body and just warm your legs up a bit, next day you destroy your legs and warm your upper body up a bit)

The culmination of a clean diet, consistent training, disciplined sleep regiment and rest days (not cheat meal days) will start to have you looking better than you've ever looked in your life.

If you want reciepts I can provide.
Anything else is a cap.

Now if you're on Steroids/Testosterone/Human growth hormone etc you don't need do most of what I said... You'll be big and ripped and die in your 40s.

You have let Instagram convolute your mind. You see all these brehs on roids and think that is an attainable realistic physique. Good diet with average daily physical activity is all you need and it is not hard at all.
