The truth of the matter is dieting, exercising, etc. are not that difficult, it's just most people, like with other things in life, want something for free. Show up, half-ass a workout three times a week, drink all weekend and eat like shyt then wonder why they can't see the changes they want to see.
The same folks that go to the gym regularly but still look like shyt clearly aren't: a) working out hard enough and/or b) eating enough to put on mass or eating too much to lose weight. Your body doesn't reward you for showing up, it rewards your effort for putting in that work.
Most people just don't have the willpower it takes.
Just this last Friday I was at the gym. Lifted for 2 and half hours and even took my raggedy ass the treadmill. As I'm getting off the treadmill a skinny-fat cat I know was offering me a piece of cake as he ate one. It was 10 o'clock in the morning. He's coming back off of injury and can barely lift.
