That's been an issue for a while. We'll have a pretty good secondary next year I think. Lenoir played well and so did Ward. Teams picked on Thomas a lot or whoever we had in the slot. I think Brown and Huf will be legit together next year. Our front 7 was not very good or disciplined. We should have gotten much better production out of them this year and unfortunately that falls on Wilks.

Detroit is a good Offense
Green Bay raped a very good Dallas defense

Defense didn't live up to their expectations this year no doubt, but to blame Steve as the source I dunno. I agree with @jwonder that Demeco and Saleh were able to cover for Kyle's fukkups in the past. Wilks couldn't.

I just figured he'd be the fall guy.

I don't put all the blame on Wilks but Kyle ain't going nowhere so if we can upgrade then why not. What we couldn't do this year was generate pressure to help the secondary.

Detroit is a good offense but breh they did whatever they wanted to do. We didn't stop them, Dan Campbell and drops did. Green Bay beat Dallas as bad as we did. Run and don't make mistakes. That was literally the worst coached defensive gameplan I've ever seen. Seriously it was worse than the Miami/Denver game.

Yeah, no way he hires someone that would want to implement his own stuff and bring in their own coaches.

If what I'm hearing from the beat writers is right, Kyle said that the fit with Wilk was harder than it should've been (which once again tells me Wilks asked for more power and was told no and got fired) so I don't expect him to hire someone that doesn't feel comfortable being a yes man and having to work within the confines he's told.

At this point I think promoting someone in house should be the move if we have any more coaches that have shown potential to be a coordinators.

Barrows theorized Nick Sorensen would be a good in house candidate because he's coached different positions for us and has a global view the entire system.
