Oh and the price difference between a 500GB and 1TB HDD is very small, maybe a $5 difference for MS/Sony.

The only positive I would see from a bluray less PS4 is for it to be cheaper overall than a PS4 AND for the PS store to offer crazy sales which they probably won't. Other than that, a disc-less PS4 that's priced the same or more than a regular one would confuse the average joe.

This shyt better be announced by June because I am actively keeping my eyes out on it everywhere. I have been browsing neogaf more than I have in the past few years hoping that something pops up.
There's so much conflicting information that I too am trying to see what this is going to be like. The latest thing I saw was some guy who kept teasing about the PS4K said:
- Won't be overly expensive (aka 399-499 pricerange)
- Wait for e3 (possible reveal)
- Releasing at the end of this year
- Will run ps4 games at higher fidelity, but won't have exclusive games made for it. Kind of like iphone6s vs iphone6. Will be running the same apps, but better.
- Will be capable of 4k gaming (But if priced at 399-499, I'm expecting something similar to 1080p gaming on the ps3)
The only thing he has going for him(the poster) is that he leaked TLG for PS4 before E3 and he was confirmed to be someone in the know by a mod over there as they usually do that and if the person can't prove they can know this stuff then they're banned.

Im balling so its nothing to me.Because honestly it looks like that is the direction we are heading in. Doesn't anyone find it strange how Microsoft, Sony and these 3rd party developers are still supporting the 360 and the PS3 till this day? Exactly why can't this work going forward with better tech? I think $400 every 3 years for better hardware isn't that bad at all actually.
If they can do it with the extreme difference in performance between the 360 and PS4, why not the XB1/PS4 to XB1.5/PS4.5 ? I like the idea of newer hardware refreshes. Plus considering that I think the PS4 and XBOX One will get another price drop to go along with it I think everyone wins. The damn 360 and PS3 brand new are still going for $200+

5-6 years is reasonable , 3 years would make me stop playing all together IF the differentiation between gens are more minimal than this current one.
