There is nothing to really talk about…People don’t talk about this enough.
This is specifically aimed at companies who’s job has a need for you to be there

Illegal immigration is overstated. A lot of them work jobs and provide services Americans take for granted. They consume shyt and don’t bother to think about, how it got made or the time it takes to provide. This is what they're trying to change.. They claim.. But im looking at multiple things working against them that im sure they see, but choose to ignore.. A.I and illegal immigrants coming in daily..

seems great in retrospect but I still feel like paying for someones commute is also gonna come with asking another set of bs conditions you have to followEmployer point of view
alright cool, we'll pay for travel. Parameters include living within "×" proximity to the reporting location as a condition of employment

The only way I would be ok working from home isThats just you… a minority here.
Like I said, most people who don’t want WFH are people who can’t get shyt done at home. Go into the office but others shouldn’t have to do extra shyt just because you can’t perform from home
They’re getting fired because they can always fill a position in the $60,000 - $90,000 salary range, and squeeze 50-60 official/unofficial hours out of them a week and not have to pay overtime.Mid-level management have been the ones getting fired lately.. As they should, and they should pay the laborers more who make the business what it is.

I came in this thread stating small businesses that rely on offices being open would be hurt, and I get hit with the “they should join Uber eats or move”.
Like really
People only care about themselves, then get mad with someone tells them to go fukk themselves. Like I don’t give a fukk about your commute. You knew how far it was when you signed the offer letter.

If you don’t like it then quit. There are plenty of people that don’t mind getting up and leaving the house to go to work. You act like the world owes you something. You’re an EMPLOYEE. You’re disposable. Don’t nobody owe you nothing.
And millions of people lost their job during Covid. And they had to wait weeks or months to get unemployment and couldn’t pay their rent. Many of them got evicted. Companies went out of business permanently. So the time a lot of people got back was either spent in the hospital sick or at home stressing over trying to find a job that paid what they were making during the pandemic.I’ll never understand you types. If these companies could get away with making you pay to work for them they would. They take every inch they can whether or not it makes sense just to let you know who holds the power. I’ve seen C-Suites make some really stupid decisions in meetings that just made me laugh because I know they were gonna walk those back just because of ego. Habitual line steppers. Covid coincidentally allowed people to realize just how important their time is and that trying to have everyone commute at the same time to go sit in a fukking cublicle when some people don’t need to is a waste of life. People finally got some time back. Time to spend with family, work out, run errands, eat p*ssy etc.. your own personal time, and you’re here shytting on dreams. Do better.

The pandemic showed that that is not the majority… especially with a whole different generation and amongst demographicsThe only way I would be ok working from home is
1. It’s a remote position and the office is in another state.
2. You own your own business.
A lot of people want to come home and not deal with work. They view their home as a sanctuary. So to have to work a 9-5 from home isn’t what everybody wants. If it was, it would’ve happened already. Because even when you’re at home working, you’re still on someone else’s time.
Most of those people who lost their jobs were because they were service or someone needed to physically BE there. And millions of people lost their job during Covid. So the time a lot of people got back was either spent in the hospital sick or at home stressing over trying to find a job that paid what they were making during the pandemic.
The majority of people who “realized” their worth were low wage workers that got more money in unemployment benefits than they were getting before the pandemic working. They didn’t want to come back earning less.
So your cubicle commute complaints are irrelevant to most people. There are still qualified applicants that have been out of work for over a year that will kill to be commuting to work for 45 minutes and stuck in a cubicle.
So again. If you don’t like it quit. bytching about it won’t change anything.
If all of these companies ditch the office, what do you think will happen to the space? What will happen to the surrounding property value? There won’t be any companies beating each other down to buy or lease it. Some of these companies have invested hundreds of millions of dollars in these properties and you think they will just get rid of it because a few people don’t like driving there to work
If you making $100,000 and up in IT or software development, I have no sympathy for you.
Yeah understandableThat would be nice because i work in seattle but stay about half hour south but rush hour makes the drive an hour to an hour and a half i cant WFH because i am a heavy equipment operator
