I get sick every time I go to Mexico, granted it only lasts a few days. My girlfriend was fukked up though, we were on the verge of taking her to the clinic.

Definitely made a mistake when we got fruit from a fruit stand. Could've been another restaurant, had a tlayuda .

Brush your teeth with bottle water. Sometimes the tap water in places aint bad its just our bodies aren't used to it.

Only time I got sick from food was I ate some Chichrron at a fair and within minutes I had bubble guts. But usually I been good eating street food, but water I don't play about.

I stayed out in Guatemala City for a month when I was 14 with my best friends fam (they’re Guatemalan) and had the same experience after brushing my teeth with the tap water.

In the states, Mexicans make fun of Mexicans from Oaxaca for being short and dark.

Like I've heard them diss darker skin Mexicans by saying "they must be from Oaxaca".

It's funny because my borough has a lot of Mexicans from Oaxaca and Puebla and half of these mofos be darker than me while being mostly Indigenous.

I'm aware of the Black roots of Veracruz and Guerrero. I heard Veracruz in particular has a strong Caribbean influence.

Only time I really got sick like that was in Ecuador. Was shytting my brains out for 3 days straight. Could only hold down water and fruit, anything else would run right thru me
