I fukked with the NYC album heavy and still do, had some nice joints on there. Everything else has been pretty bad though.

I agree with you about the beef in general, it's pretty whack. Though I think that Troy's diss was pretty hard and disrespectful. Reminds me of Gucci mane's "Dig ya potna up, bet he can't say shyt". Just vulgar :scust:
Yeah it's definitely vulgar it's just not good tho lol. He really could've constructed a good diss record using factual shyt or go the other route and make some hard lines going at Joey. Instead he took the slime ball route and disrespected his dead homie. Which, in of itself, whatever. I'm not really sensitive about that part, it just seemed kinda over the top considering their shyt isn't beef, it's really about who's more of a bigger indie artist lol.

What facts can he use against Joey? Calling him a weirdo isn't a fact. Troy is fighting above his weight class which is why excluding the Steez lines he might be the first rapper in history to record a diss song ironically dissing himself.

Troy took an L to anybody with sense:

:russ: @ nikkas shytting on Troy for going hard on a diss song

yall nikkas are so soft and corny these fukking days its embarrassing:dame:

Troy was just going hard on his diss like nikkas used to back in the day. Joey SHOULD respond, because this is hip hop and it would probably be a good response, thus enjoyment for the fans:blessed:

Plus, suicide really isn't the answer:yeshrug:

:dwillhuh: where the hell did you get that from?

we both live in the UK and I have played this track, Restore the feeling and one of the Bricks in my backpack tapes but I guarantee we won't mix in the same circles

So you basically admitting it's a popularity contest with you :russ:? Compare the popularity of a 20 year old immortal hip-hop classic to a week old diss from an independent rapper in Hip- Hops dark ages brehs :dead:

So if Troy was popular you'd stan him too? Just like you do Drake, Kanye and Kendrick :mjlol: fukkin lame

Wicked games just keeps exposing himself over and over and over again:mjlol:

"He's fighting above his weight class"

JOEY BADASS IS NOT A GOOD RAPPER, EITHER, HE'S JUST MARKETED AS ONE.

Personally I agree. I dislike Troy Ave but I don't believe Joey is more skilled than he is. Troy Ave is making retread 2005 commercial music, but last time I checked Joey he was making retread 1995 underground Stretch & Bobbito type music. If both mcs are at their best, I'd probably prefer to hear a Troy Ave verse.
And I hope dude wasn't trying to make a popularity/sales argument with the "weight class" thing because Jada tore 50 up, no one can tell me his 50 disses didn't matter.

I just don't think the angle Troy took helps him in an "I'm nicer than you" argument.

Did Shan diss Scott La Rock?

Did Jay diss Ill Will?

Did Nas diss Big L to get at Cam?

Did Pac diss Killer Black to get at Mobb Deep?

Did anyone who went at 50 diss Chris Lighty or Mazaradi Fox?

Did 50 diss Pun to get at Joe?

Is Jim Jones dissing Chinx to get at French?

Did Drake diss Snupe to get at Meek?

Did Tru Life or French diss Stack Bundles to get at Jim?

Anyone dissing Big to get at Puff?

I gave you examples from every era of hip hop so tell me when was it ever cool or acceptable to disrespect the dead? What Troy did was an anomaly not the norm. That's some sucker shyt and it doesn't mean you're "soft or corny" to recognize that. If you can laugh at jokes directed at a young man who killed himself than you need to step back and realize that some things aren't meant to be used for your entertainment.

That's your opinion not fact. Some people think Joey is a good rapper. Either way it's not relevant to the argument.

Troy is "fighting above his weight class" because:

a) 200,000 > 7,000
b) Joey is touring the world (30 US cities, 30 foreign) while Troy currently only has 1 show booked

These are facts not opinions. Numerically Troy is at the disadvantage and going at someone far more successful at something he prides himself on which is being an independent artist. This beef started with Troy saying he was the #1 indie artist in NY. Joey replied saying he sold 57,000 his first week making him the #1 indie artist. Troy called him "fake independent." It was always about the numbers not opinions.

What the fukk does Nas, Jay, Big, Pac, Drake, Cam and Jim Jones have to do with Joey fukking Badass ? :mjlol:

He's nowhere near their level to be ducking a battle after HE STARTED IT. Troy went at his homie and he gonna stay silent?

Fck outta here, I like Joey and he'd obviously murder Troy on the mic, so get off his dikk nikka:mjlol:

I'm talking about the bar for bar comparison of READY..
vs BAD ASS...
@Supa stop stanning, breh...

I liked the vulgarity...I also said Troy ave was garbage. If you compare their content and flow...Joey Badass kinda loses...His FLOW IS SLOPPY.
If you have a sloppy flow and abstract content, how can somebody say you have BARS? He's never demonstrated this on any level. People feed into the hype.

Here are the lyrics to ready, by Joey Badass:

[Verse 1]
nikkas think because we conscious we don't really get it popping
They forgot we from the bottom
They forgot we had to fight for every nickel, every dollar
Before the money and the power
You could ask my nikka Powers I've been putting in these hours
Plotting domination now the whole world is ours
Tell me why they hating, its cause of what I'm making
And if you a little patient its gon' be what I'm taking
They got me mistaken
Critics try to box me

I feel like Rocky when it come to paparazzi
Somebody stop me, fukking up my kamikaze
I'm on my 47 shyt, like how could you not see
Cause we dropping jewels I said we dropping jewels
Temper rising cools prolly see me on the news
Joey got the juice, finally got this nikka loose
Now while I'm free to speak free my nikka Shmurda too
I'm feeling like Victor Cruz a giant from New York
I'm lacing up the boots then I'm going fukking long
So if you trying to score just pass it to me more
Never dropping the ball, always raising the bar

[Verse 2]
bytch I'm the bomb even HOV said it
Though I never signed to ROC and no I don't regret it
You know I'm coming for the top you see me getting bigger
How can you sign if you know you're tryna beat a nikka
When I made it to his office I was seventeen
Like forty floors up I grew a pair of wings
In that moment man I knew I could do anything
Feeling like a young Simba can't wait to be a king

And I never lost my hunger man I stayed hungry
If we started talking numbers man they wouldn't love me

Man I'd rather keep the peace but its getting ugly
But fukk it what I'm about to say is what they didn't want me
60k first week for the Badass
200k to this day I know you nikkas mad
With the 80/20 split my nikka do the math
My nikka Kirk just outsold Troy Ave
Now they sleep we 'bout to hit 'em with the NYCK next
Got these nikkas bread hurt, Limp Bizkit
Its crunch time had to go and get his shyt wreck
Got the ninjas on deck and the bytches in check
And that's a shot to anybody man I don't feel you
Steezy told me to go hard and nikkas ain't hear you
I see the whole future clearer and I'm near it too
And if you really break a leg, I hope they still will cheer you :stopitslime:

That's bars?
That's quotable?
That's a hard diss?
That's vulgar?
That's mean?
That's cold?

NO. This nikka taking the Drake road in this and he's supposed to be the hip hop one.

:dahell:Scroll up to to when you said, "Troy was just going hard on his diss like nikkas used to back in the day." You implied that what Troy did was somehow a part of tradition. All the rap beefs I mentioned current or back in the days didn't have people using dead people for ammo.

Yeah, ok, and the guys you named weren't the only ones getting in beefs back then. Rappers of all levels of popularity battled and all of them went harder than nikkas now. Just cause they didn't bring up anyones dead homie didn't mean they didn't go hard. Hov brought up the Carmen shyt, Pac went at Big hard, and just in general we've seen beefs where both sides go mad hard. Eminem has said crazy lines towards other cats. Ja Rule brought up Em's daughter right? Y'all crying about Troy ave saying some wild shyt, he was just being hip hop and dissing Joey as hard as he could. The fact that Troy mentioned the dead nikka for ammo should gives Joey more of a reason to respond, and even further proves your post invalid. You bringing up if Jay dissed Ill Will, who fukking cares? Nas and Hov were real nikkas who battled like real rap nikkas.

Troy went hard at Joey and Joey is sidestepping and he supposed to be the 90s nikka. Plus you're making a case for why he shouldn't respond, bringing up sales, give me a break. Joey aint big enough to duck this shyt.
