This is a problematic perspective. So if someone falsely accuses you of rape and costs you your job, reputation, etc., you should just take it on the chin for the greater good? That is a ridiculous stance for someone to take who is not affected by the action. The person who lied is the one caused the damage, not the one who decided to press charges back. Most rape cases lack evidence in the first place. The odds of someone even having enough proof to launch that type of attack would have to be in clear cases. I've thought about this topic a lot and I don't like your stance (even though it's the popular one).It doesn't even matter if they can prove they lied. Dragging a victim's name through the mud and putting them on the other side of the legal system is enough to dissuade actual victims from coming forward. Problem (for rapists) solved![]()
