Exactly. That's what I'm sayin. What I'm saying is there's a difference between getting a reference track. And adding Ur own bars. vs. Getting a reference track. And taking the whole shyt. Lol. Like I said I used to ghostwrite so I know what it is. I know the difference. Certain shyt like taking song concepts or hooks been the norm for a million years and I had no idea people looked at that as ghostwriting till I got on the internet. Lolmaaaaaaan if you WANNA add reference tracks in it can get UGLY. Just because dudes get reference tracks don't mean they are gonna use the verses. Most times it's just a vision for the song. Most rappers just keep the hooks. And sometimes the flow. Most times they put their own bars on it. And this regular ass shyt in damn near every session I sat in. If dudes are TRULY ghostwriting you don't see them credited at ALL. I've seen dudes get writing credits for telling a rapper to use a certain adlib. On the Coli nikkas will tell you that means they wrote the whole song.![]()
It's more fun to get the jokes off I guessFacts! Been trying to tell these nikkas since the SOHH days they don't wanna listen bro. SMH
I just can't see it. But who knows. I'm not so cynical to think EVERY rapper uses the shyt. That's like some scorned female who thinks every nikka is on the DL type shyt. Also. I know certain rappers for who for a fact never used em personally.I don't know if he does or doesn't but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Lupe had ghostwriters for certain songs. It's just an industry thing.
Yeah, I had no clue people were so clueless until the meek/drake shyt. Im like wtf???Exactly. That's what I'm sayin. What I'm saying is there's a difference between getting a reference track. And adding Ur own bars. vs. Getting a reference track. And taking the whole shyt. Lol. Like I said I used to ghostwrite so I know what it is. I know the difference. Here's the thing....
I don't care if rappers have ghostwriters as long as they're up front with it. I've said that since day 1 of the Drake fiasco.
If I had a problem with ghostwriting across the board there would be no Eazy-E, Ye, or Dre in my playlist.
This Twista shyt isto me because he said his best shyt was him. He'd already established himself as "Twista" in hip-hop before he used ghostwriters on 3-4 songs, across a 25 year long career.
I'm sure Drake stans are salivating at the chance to use this interview to validate him....let me put an end to that.
Drake was accused of using ghost writers since day 1, and never addressed it, even after the reference track stuff. He just did soft ball interviews and dodged the question.
That is what I have a problem with. Because he built a career and legacy off someone else, and won't even admit it. And that's where Twista went full retard in the interview, saying stuff like that doesn't matter.
Fred.
basically cultivating division, making up shyt as they go along, persistently revising history and carrying on like these perceived "problems " with rap music are new. that purist shyt started late 90s and it's like liberals on the Internet...always got a problem with something
More importantly, it's featured. That's where themy first thread with 100+ replies breh![]()
