Yall don't see how much of a bad look preaching this shyt is, and trying to convince your women of this nonsense is, until you get your money up, get in circles with other men making real money and with real power, and truly understand how dynamics work.
There's a systematic narrative to make BM look weak and not masculine. And its not them putting these actors and homothugs in dresses, its with shyt like this.
Its in showing us as weak, and powerless, and incapable of taking care of our women and children...a basic fukking tenet to manhood across every culture since the beginning of time. That's how they accomplish the narrative of emasculating us.
They really out here in our face telling us that Black men are inferior bc we lack the ability of being able to perform basic tenets of manhood and that BW are wrong for even having the expectations that we'd be able to....and you nikkas want to defend it.
They are out here treating Black men like we children or some type of retards who you can't have any masculine expectations of, but you nikkas actually agree with it because you think it'll make things easier for you to get a bytch. Not even no critical thought for the implications of categorizing not just yourself but us as an entire group of men in this way.
No way I would live in a household where I can only pay the light bill. No fukking way. My first job was at 13, and by 14 my dad told me to pay the phone bill just to instill some discipline in me. But this is the light you nikkas basically want your women to see you in. Are you even hearing yourselves? This is what you are fighting Black women for? The ability for them to take care of you like a teenager?? What kind of man are you that you are even comfortable in that type of situation??? Like what are we even talking about here.

If we are in a SoWS, then there is no such thing as "settling" because those who are at the bottom can't even properly integrate to be at a level of "settling" due to the very nature of the system. We are all trying to find a spot to survive and be the best we can be.
From there, each successive generation has to learn from the previous one until a proper solution is created or until this system is either changed naturally or falls due to too great of an imbalance.
Either way, as Tyler Perry put it, he's correct. Find you a person that has integrity, good moral judgement, and loves you on a level deeper than the physical. That type of relationship takes work by both parties. Otherwise folks will just keep getting into transactional relationships, not relationships that are worth a damn or ones that create sustainable communities.
I am all for being a provider and protector but it takes work to get there, especially if you are Black in America. Be patient with one another out here.

The other guy is correct. You wrote a whole lot of nothing. Perry was wrong to begin with about black women making more, as many people in this thread stated. So already he's full of it. You should have some smoke for him for that.
Outside of that, he had a point about some women needing to marry down, however, he should have noted that a lot of that has to do with some if not a lot of these women being so unbearable that only someone making less will put up with up with them. That's it really. A pleasant, well to do black woman with little to no baggage that really wants to be wifed up will be wifed up. Outside of that, she'll struggle and will not be able to call the shots and if she is fixated on getting married, she'll have to change or "settle". It doesn't help that the man she wants undoubtedly has women who are willing to become the woman he wants. She can adapt or settle. Her move.

The key is understanding what it takes to snag the type of man you want. If Ebony wants Jamal because he's got his shyt together, she has to be willing to go get Jamal and can't assume just being cute, Black and educated is enough to make HIM chase HER.
