ATL, but rasied in DMV
I went to an HBCU for one year before transferring back to the PWI I started at 11 or 12 years prior. It wasn't the best experience I had going to that HBCU, especially when I was enrolling, and this middle-aged woman working with the financial aide staff called security on me for practically nothing. And this campus policeman took her side just for the hell of it. I reported both of them.

Then I had a professor, who said he was a first cousin to James Meredith, straight up cock-block on me right before I was about to nail this cute sister who was on the girls basketball team. We sat together almost from day one. She even rubbed through my hair a few times, which meant the booty was practically yours. Anyway, he had given the class oral reports, but he selected our topics. So he gave me Vietnamization and gave her Women's Lib, something you never want to hear a girl you're about to tap talk about. She knew that killed the chemistry after she did that report, and she wounded up transferring out of the class. I'm not gonna discuss why the professor did that, even though today I realize I was wrong. But he already humiliated me enough after I did what I did. So the cock-blocking wasn't even necessary at this point. It may have worked out ok though, because I was in a long-term relation at the time, and the girl, as cute as she was, and as pretty as her skin was, was a little flat back there. One way or another, she didn't deserve to be hurt. By that time, just letting her know I had a girl would have hurt her.

Anyway. I was still glad I went to that HBCU for that one year, and I learned some things, including from that no good professor, that I would have never learned from that PWI. Btw, I never lived on campus there, like I did my freshman year at that PWI. I don't think I missed out on too much not living on campus at this particular HBCU either, as far as dating. Out of all the HBCU's, I think this one had the most homeliest looking girls of them all. A buddy who went there 12 years prior, and lived on campus his freshman year after high school, told me this. I didn't believe him, but 12 years later, he was still right. There were way more finer girls at Prince Georges Community College, which was only a two year college at the time. Btw, this HBCU I attended was Bowie State University. Sorry for those who went there that don't agree.

- To the black kids that had to overcome insurmountable odds just to get to college.

Meanwhile, I’m in and out of the financial aid office at my PWI in less than five minutes to make sure that grant I was just awarded hit my account. Miss me with that grit shyt.

I’ve also worked as a contractor in all the AUC buildings (excluding Morris Brown), man they don’t fix SHYT til it’s too late. Then they will hold your money forever.

Black colleges are good for black students, its good for their mental health to be around black people. Not have to worry about racism, having any insecurities etc. But once they leave they likely will be seeking employment with whoever can pay the most which will probably be a European. I'm pretty sure their curriculum doesn't preach seperatism or true knowledge of self. Seems to be more about black elitism/boule mentalities than actual black upliftment. These schools are assimilation/indoctrination camps as much as white schools. No different than the all black public schools you went to your whole life.

Theres no such thing as a black business in the white mans domain. All that money going right back to the European banks that fund your oppression. The business owners should at least be held to a higher level of conscience then the consumer whos probably going out of their way, paying higher prices to support a black business, but they aren't. Alot of times they taking that "black money" and going right to a white neighborhood with it,sending their kids to white schools, not circulating that money among other black business themselves. You think they ain't getting the cheapest prices for they supplies:usure:?

I’m a strong advocate for HBCUs but I definitely agree with you on some points here, most especially about the curriculum not teaching about separatism and knowledge of self….The curriculum definitely does touch upon Black pride and excellence but of course the idea of multiculturalism always rears its ugly head into it. Hell truth be told, it’s not uncommon nowadays for the history departments of some of these HBCUs to either have more than a couple of Cac professors to being damn near Cac :francis:

I'm amazed at how ppl are acting like this shyt is ok or no big deal:dwillhuh:

Just because it is an HBCU, they accept it, knowin that if they went to a PWI and this shyt happened, they'd raise hell :mjlol:
