That nikka Joe stays talking in circles.

Media savvy

We know what Joe is hinting at (Or at least a good handful of us do) when Joe talks
in that metaphorical way, I'm sure he wants to be straight forward and say what he wants
to say out right but Joe doesn't want this situation to get blow out of proportion the way
the whole Vibe Magazine/Raekwon and Wutang situation did from what the original state was
when Joe out right spoke his mind..

the one thing i def agree with is someone has to come along and reprogram niggs that look to sales as the means to justify average records (50) and its going to take someone like drake to do that and when he puts out uninspiring records its doing a disservice to hiphop and its future.

This what budden point is or one of his points but a lot of people missed it . I to see the artist struggling after streaming ...I stay woke cause I'm a grown up(lol) in see what's coming. It Drake's job to alert the people. I think there is some personal shyt going with drake and the industry. I see joe budden frustrations thoe.

The fukk is Joe talking about? Drake's fight for what? Both Drake and Hov are pimping their respective streaming services so its not like he's fighting for big artist to still be successful without Apple/Tidal/Spotify backing.

So wtf fight is Drake supposed to be fighting? The only thing I can think of is that Joe is scared Jay Z has that D.O.A. haymaker coming for Drake after sending Meek to deliver the body blow to get him to drop his hands. But if that's all this "fight" is about then Joe is making a whooooole lot of noise about nothing so that can't be it.

Budden used to post on SOHH didn't he ?....is he @thernbroom ?

:patrice:

he's prone to rants but this was damn near unlistenable.
and let's be honest, Budden would (allegedly) assault a gaggle of woman to have another rapper talk this passionately about him.

:dahell: Im out here traveling the world keep my name out of your mouth

Here's my quick rant-

I just checked out the Rico Love interview on the breakfast yesterday. He said in it that he don't know how artist are to be paid from streaming. Pretty interesting considering this is a guy people look to in order to learn about the music business. The thing about it is that Fat Joe recently said the exact same thing.

From what I've seen the industry has found a way to get people to pay for what amounts to radio. They are making up the rules to this as they go along as well. Kanye was a mascot for Tidal as they masterfully told the public that buying albums and even songs is now obsolete. Drake I'm sure is a similar puppet for Apple. Why would Drake fight against this? *scratches head* He doesn't strike me as someone that knows anything about artist integrity. Hell, he doesn't really strike me as an artist at all. There was a recent post here where someone said that cell phone companies are the ones making money these days. Obviously the idea here is that everyone has a phone so they will stream music from it instead of buying music. So if Apple gets a monopoly on cell phones and the streaming service market, then they win. They're already killin' it wit' i-tunes.

I don't understand why people get so worked up. It's rap. Everyone gets a run and eventually falls off. These aren't basketball teams we're rooting for. They make art and it's up to us to figure out if we like it or not. I like the drake album but it is what it is. No need to try to decipher what's going on in his life. Just enjoy the fukking music and if you don't like it then listen to something else.
At least on basketball teams they choose the best of the best to play the game. Hip Hop right now with Drake is on some Sixth Man ish.
