That solution still leaves us dependent on whites for employment, which is going to always have our unemployment numbers higher than every other group because whites do not want to hire us.

The solution is for us to have our own businesses which require IT solutions. So we can hire ourselves and not depend on our enemy for employment.

As Garvey said almost 100 years ago, any leadership that teaches you to depend upon another race is a leadership that will enslave you.

First of all I'm not talking about IT

We obviously need to open more black technology companies and to do that we need more black technology graduates, and the onus for getting more black tech graduates is on black people it's not on the tech industry

There is nothing I'm saying or suggesting that depends on white people, that is why you'll never say me supporting diversity programs or affirmative action, cuz they are dependent on white people and our just crumbs being thrown at us

Exactly the owners don't even really care. You saw how they were trying to play dumb by dodging a multimillion dollar lawsuit, when they profit billions :dwillhuh:

The older I get the more I realize, it's less about the game and more about the business of getting people to spend their money, on a false institutions, which essentially brings little to no value to the average fans life.......
this.

I still root for my BEARS though :win:

Have you looked at the list of companies BASED in Silicon Valley? Most of them are not selective at all. Most of them have regional offices around the united states. Of course they are going to compare the nationwide graduation rate to the hiring rates of companies BASED in Silicon Valley, because companies BASED in Silicon Valley employ more employees out of Silicon Valley than in Silicon Valley.

I'm not here to defend these companies, but I would like to be objective as possible in analyzing this issue. What would be helpful is finding out where these companies are recruiting for students. Which institutions are the feeders for these companies? Then what is the number of black students in those institutions? Then we can really determine if there is discrimination at work.,

I have worked at a few of the top consulting firms in the US and I can attest that atleast at the entry level, the firms that I have worked for do make an effort to recruit black students. When shyt starts to get dicey is advancing in these firms as a minority.

It's a dumb sensationalist article. As pointed out, they are comparing the nationwide graduation rates to hiring rates in Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley companies are very selective. Think of them as the Ivy Leagues of the tech world. They only recruit at the top institutions. So across all races, you are going to have a very small hiring rate compared to the nationwide graduation rate.

What we need are more black Stem students overall and especially at top institutions.

No, we need more black people to own businesses, grow them, and hire these technical professionals. There's no denying that black people are constantly discriminated against by white white people in every aspect of life in which they control.

The reason black unemployment is at always at least twice as high as white unemployment is because there's not enough of us that can hire ourselves.

There is no reason why we can't do both.

Which has always been the case. Blacks at the bottom, whites at the top.

Keep telling yourself that, breh.

I've literally coordinated and managed recruiting operations for tech firms. I've seen positions go unfilled for MONTHS due to a lack of candidates with a good "cultural fit."

Silicon Valley is one of the most racist, sexist, ageist job markets in the world. The makeup of the workforce is not an accident. It's by design.

Breh.. I made $ the last few years with my own tech staffing firm........... and I'm not even a recruiter :sas1:

I just know the business:sas2: and I like the Pimping hustling aspect of it all.... get 8 indians billing at 10$margins for 2080 hours and what's that my nikka?

it is what it is. Nobody said that IT wasn't racist.... all industries on Earth are racist............ But you have to be a real bytch not to be able to overcome the barriers in the IT. Growing up black in America should make the technology industry a cakewalk, especially on the software side. Media, education, justice, prison, healthcare, energy, communication, and Financial more racist than IT because it's mostly about skill sets.

I've previously worked other jobs... and other industries, and even the military - All Way more racist than IT

And I agree with cultural fit anyway. for example, I don't want to work around CAC so I don't. I don't work with cac because cac don't find less
'acceptable' and presentable brothas a fit and they make corny jokes and do cac shyt. ... Technology is an area where Our focus should be on starting our own over working for CAC anyway-- that the real way to deal with white supremacy.

And Silicon Valley is one location out of thousands to get an IT job. I  at the type of nikkas that will go to hyped up areas like that over getting paid somewhere less glamorous.

In IT I'd say being a OLD :flabbynsick: person is worse than everything...... except being Indian in certain circumstances.

There is no reason why we can't do both.

There's a very simple reason we can't have both, white supremacy.

You earlier posted about the discrimination you saw at work where when it came to blacks being in higher positions in companies, "things get dicey."

Why should ANY of us have to deal with an imaginary ceiling where blacks will never be treated fairly when we can have our own, hire our own, and never have to deal with that type of discrimination and oppression again.

I really feel bad for the 45 and up crowd..

I've personally discriminated against them in certain situations.. and have seen companies low key do this

That's really the only barrier you can't bust through:whew:

Experience for one and some people, more politically gifted than I, are able to navigate corporate America. I'm studying the Federal IT space right now while I figure out how to start my own shyt.
