Another 50 years...that is harsh breh:mjcry: You’re right though. This isn’t going to be an overnight process. At the very least, for me, I want to see at least some good progress come next Qualification for World Cup.

Might have overestimated but the USMNT being potential champions shouldn't even be on anyone's radar in the decades to come. Be grateful to make it to ro16 for a good, good minute. 50 years or so just seems like the right concentrated average if the country actively does the right development at this very moment. The country has to have the development for generations that don't even exist yet.

Countries that we consider the best on the world stage have been footballing since the late 1800's and the early 20th century. Literally centuries of development.

The US is definitely way behind the curve ball in terms of soccer development. Hopefully this result is a wake up call for them and start to develop things in a natural manner. I’m just not sure if I can have faith they’ll do that but we’ll see.

Lebrons waaaay tooo tall for soccer. Itd be Dalvin Cook or Darren Sproles or Steph Curry type guys.

African Americans are too under represented in soccer.

Still i dont understand why American cacs, African immigrants and hispanics cant produce a decent squad

We gotta hold their hand in every fukking sport. :hhh:

I read an article about this about a year ago. Basically it comes down to racism and oppression, which makes it difficult for poor immigrants to get on club teams as teenagers to continue developing. Tyler and Todd’s parents can pay to get their kid on a squad while Jose and Adebayo end up playing for a house league on a shytty field somewhere in the hood, never receiving the resources or the time invested to continue developing once they hit adolescence.

That was the case in 2004, today not so much but this product was direct product of 1984-1994 kids so maybe it effected this group. This was the age group where Freddy Adu was our best player. So players failing at a pro level really hampered this group.

This country had more success in the 1920s and 1930s at soccer than today.

You can't say it's the youth because this group actually had success at that time. In fact, more success than many others but it comes down to, too many failures.

And Jozy never developed into the Emilie Heskey protege either
