That's what in saying, people talk like they have experienced any of this racism personally. They just going off what someone said which is why I responded the way I did. We need to quit basing our decisions to travel off isolated incidents

Media and hearsay are terrible for that, it was the same for me before I left Brussels to go live there, like half of the people (none of which had ever been to Italy) told me to be careful and that they were the worst racists on Earth, etc. Ended up having an great time there, I damn near consider it home now and go back at least once a year :yeshrug:

These fukking cowards crying about such and such country being racist. How the fukk you call yourself a man and not visit a certain country because some people in that country might say mean words to you? :scust:

there are people living in Syria, Iraq, Somalia etc under the threat of bombs everyday and they still go out everyday, and yet your Fakkit ass scared of someone being racist to you. Shut the fukk up.:camby:

Every travel thread is the same fakkits talking about such and such country being racist meanwhile they live in a country where Trump is about to become president :rudy:

Where would you go? I think I'm going to go away for sure, and these two are near the top of my lists. Thoughts? Experiences?

Did you do Florence? I had to cancel a trip to Italy for a death in the family. I was thinking of doing Milan, Florence, Rome. I have to see the Duomo before I die. I also speak the language so I don't think that would be too much of a barrier.

How did you like Venezia? :ohhh:
Never been to Florence.

Venince is good. The Gondolas are pricey. The art is fantastic and even on the street in terms of sculptures etc. It's also good to shop for clothes and leather products. The cafe's are my favorite part of Italy on the whole - they just relaxe me. They have this special way of making hot chocolate there ..:banderas:

The wife and I went to Italy as part of our honeymoon cruise and we had nothing but positive experiences with everyone we encountered. Everyone should see Vatican City, Pisa, the Coliseum, and Pompeii in their lifetime. The architecture is awe inspiring in person. Only bad thing we saw was while at the Pisa tower, there were like 15 African guys (probably immigrants) hounding tourists to buy souvenirs from their suitcases. One of the Italian shopkeepers came out and started yelling something loud in Italian at them and then summoned some cops that were in the distance. Cops came over and started berating them (I think) and walked them off the property, steadily yelling as they walked. The African dudes calmly collected their things and walked off casually as these cops we're yelling like drill instructors. Kinda crazy scene...
