Where would you go? I think I'm going to go away for sure, and these two are near the top of my lists. Thoughts? Experiences?
Japan.
I've never been to either country. But I know a little Japanese, but not enough to save my life.

Italy is European but they don't have really strange cultural nuances compared to Americans.
Japan has a weird address system. Things are layed out in blocks, not streets. You can get lost looking for a place, or not able to find a place. In Japan, not everything is in Romanji, English letters like Honda. There are multiple alphabet systems, kanji, hirigana and katakana. They also drive on the other side of the road, like England and Australia so you might get into an accident if you don't focus on that.
Prepare yourself by watching the movies "Black Rain", "Mr. Baseball", "Karate Kid 2", and any Hitomi Tanaka video.

Si, grazie. Ascolto partiti di calcio in italiano. :manny:

Ragazza italiana, però....:jbhmm:

Buono, è un buon inizio!

The wife and I went to Italy as part of our honeymoon cruise and we had nothing but positive experiences with everyone we encountered. Everyone should see Vatican City, Pisa, the Coliseum, and Pompeii in their lifetime. The architecture is awe inspiring in person. Only bad thing we saw was while at the Pisa tower, there were like 15 African guys (probably immigrants) hounding tourists to buy souvenirs from their suitcases. One of the Italian shopkeepers came out and started yelling something loud in Italian at them and then summoned some cops that were in the distance. Cops came over and started berating them (I think) and walked them off the property, steadily yelling as they walked. The African dudes calmly collected their things and walked off casually as these cops we're yelling like drill instructors. Kinda crazy scene...

They call them "Vu cumpra" comes for "Vuoi comprare", meaning "Do you want to buy", modified to mock their accents. Basically it's a lot of (mostly) Senegalese brehs out there, in tourist spots and beaches hounding tourists.

It's the same here in Paris, they always play hide and seek with police.
Did you like Pisa? I was disappointed by the leaning tower (much smaller than I expected), but was only there for a day... :yeshrug:

Interesting....thanks for the info. I liked it, only because I was actually able to see it and I still was kinda hype for actually being there. I had read about how the Italians really hated the African foreigners, but how are they there and not kicked out of the country...or are they being kicked out? I know the Italians can't stand them and I would've assumed those guys at Pisa would've been arrested but they were not...

I didn't really get to do anything in my layover in Japan, but people say that it's pretty lit. It has a mixture of the Western World, and their own culture. I was in Italy for a long time, and it was amazing. Milan, Rome, Naples, and all through Northern Italy is a real nice place. Italians are more classist than racist. The women up North don't really have what American's call a fire ass body, but their faces are straight beautiful. If you go down where Naples and Sicily are at they have ass and t*ts because their diet is way different. Their party scene is way more relaxed compared to the other European countries like Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, etc. They are about the presentation of their fits, and drink whine throughout night versus the blitz drinking Americans tend to do on Vacation. The architecture is great though, Domo in Milan, and all what Rome has to offer. Naples has a real older feel to it which is great to be around. fukkery happens out there too, I saw a girl chase a guy with her smart car on the sidewalk cussing and hitting him high on some shyt. But that's another story. Just my experience out there in Italia!

As I said in the other post, there's racists there but the whole picture is more complicated. The thing with those particular brehs is that they are in public spaces running after people to sell them cheap shyt, so yeah, kind of seen as "annoying" and since it's like the only black people most Italians see, well let's say a lot of people generalize off of that since migration of Black people there is still quite recent. Even more so that it happens a lot at the beach, where Italians go to chill out and relax and don't wanna be followed by some random breh who wants to sell a fake ass 5 euro tee-shirt :dead:

The whole thing with arresting them I guess is that you would end up arresting way too many people and the italian justice system is clogged up already. Every now and then they might arrest some -and deport those who are there illegaly- but it would take way too much time and money to do so for everyone. My understanding is that it's kind of tolerated, and every now and then police shows them who runs shyt, but that's about it.

I'd go to Italy mostly for the food. But they are some places in Japan I would love to visit.

going to Italy in a month and a half. im wondering if its racist out there. :jbhmm:

Where you going breh? I lived there and been a lil around if you need some tips :yeshrug:north (above Rome) is generally more racist than south anyway. Might be a little tense because Salvini (extreme-right, de facto leader of the current government) is pushing for new elections as we speak:francis:
