It's shame too because there's a lot of informative information. Point blank, the message should be, eat more vegetables and less processed foods. Not that corporations are some vindictive predators "intentionally" trying make consumers sick and depressed.

I mean I don't deny that corporations want to sell you more food more frequently, want to make it cheap to produce, and will lobby to create legislature and fund studies.... But how sure can you be that an industry funded study is being subjected to data manipulation? A lot of IRB and ethics stuff exists in labs to prevent exactly that, and you can't make blanket statements about the integrity of all research being done that doesnt match with your conclusions. It looks unprofessional, and unless you approach it on a case by case basis, unfounded.

I wont deny there is some serious Iron Trianglery going on in big food and pharm, but at least present a cogent argument instead of coming off like a bytch ass hippy. Forks Over Knives is way better.

If you go vegan, become a vegetarian, or cut back on eating meat you're going to become difficent in vitamins that are found in meat. You're gonna need to supplement with a multivitamin, or b complex vitamin.

B12 isn't only found in meats, and contrary to popular belief most meat eaters are b12 deficient.

Seeing how I'm just about to start working out like this I don't mind eating healthier again, I can't give up meet though. But I wouldn't even know where to start with a diet like this and I have a large appetite (but fast metabolism so I don't gain weight). So I don't know where to start with stuff like this.

In this order:
Red Meat >>> Chicken >>> Fish >>> Dairy >>>

What do you mean? Maybe I worded that awkwardly. I'm just getting back into working out after being sidelined by a foot injury for a bit. But I always just ate whatever I wanted due to my metabolism and then went to the gym. So I'm trying to do this right this time. It's funny because on one hand, I'm trying to bulk back up a little (when you're like me you lose weight real fast in law school where you're not eating as much as you were in undergrad), but still trying to lose this impending beer gut (it's not there yet, but I see it coming....also due to law school alcoholism). :yeshrug:

So I'm trying to figure out what I should be doing, and I know diet is part of it. I never paid attention to any of that shyt my football coaches used to say in high school...I was just naturally faster than everybody :manny:

I'm already lactose intolerant to a a degree so I don't eat that much dairy anyway. I drink lactaid milk all the time though. Damn near as much as water.

@Kool G Trap

Just saw an awesome documentary on netflix....

Hungry for Change (2012) - IMDb

Hungry For Change - Official Trailer - YouTube

Changed my whole outlook on "juicing"...

I got forks over knives in queue, will check that out asap...

FYI that was a good doc...But that snippet about the guy that lost a ton of weight from juicing is from the doc, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. It's by Joe Cross and is on netflix... I love food but that whole doc had a nikka with the
:ohhh: face the whole time

Drink less beer?

I wouldn't focus on bulking up, if you're not in position to consume more food, often...

Leaning up, seems more feasible, by staying active, doing cardio exercises...

Some of you drop some vegetarian recipes or what you be eating on a daily/weekly basis.
Protein Sources:
soy milk, eggs, whole wheat bread, brown rice, yams, potatoes, oatmeal, yogurt, beans, nuts,

I have dramatically reduced my meat intake, since finding out I was a diabetic. I pretty much cut out beef, except for some special occasions, I basically eat a little chicken/turkey, and fish. But my green intake in the last year, and vegatable in general keep my blood sugar levels lower to the point where I been off the insulin for 6 months, now.

Type 1 or Type 2?

when i do a meat less meat minimal day i'll eat tofu. FWIW i think the studies about the effects of phytoestrogens fukking with your test have pretty much sealed it. Your body wont grow t*ts unless you eat a TON of soy, its fine to eat it fairly often. I'll also fukk with lots of legumes/beans, shyt can be tasty as hell if you spice it up right. Hummus and vegetables on a pita makes a nice pre workout meal for me for example.
