so did I at one point
but I decided that the health costs were not worth it
now I don't even miss it

that's the decision you have to make
you can do it

For me it's not even the health costs anymore, it's the moral aspect that got me now. It's not right what we doing to these animals out here :to:

You ever seen one of those slaughterhouse vids :to: I can't look at eating meat the same.

I have a good deal of moral issues as well, especially when many refuse to accept that many animals we domesticate and eat are social and even sentient beings and especially when eating animals is not necessary for westerners
but the health and environment issues weigh much heavier for me

I can cosign this.

Health reasons, environmental reasons, social reasons...there's a lot of good reasons to be on the "less meat" bandwagon.

30% of the Earth's surface is being used for meat production right now. :mindblown:

A third of the entire Earth is being used to produce our meat. :shaq2:

And that's with only like a billion people eating a lot of meat...the rest can't even afford that much.

This ain't sustainable at all. There's gonna be a real big backlash when we keep running out of land to abuse this way.

This is cool and all, but didn't Steve Jobs die because he tried all those alternative methods instead of doing chemo right away?

I can't speak on that because I don't know what his dietary regiment was, and I don't know what his mental or emotional state was during the ordeal which are two huge factors. There are many factors involved in healing the human body.

My best guess is he tried to execute a regiment that was not a good match for his DNA. Gotta eat according to your genetics. And your mental state is also extremely important.

Might have been asked in 28 pages but will eating farm-raised fish eliminate the toxin concentration issue? I know they say wild fish is better for other reasons so idk which way 2 go
