This is the laziest most selfish generation ever. We live in our own bubbles controlled by social media where if we receive any type of criticism or adversity we can just log off. There's also other factors like women these days don't need men the way they used to since many of them make just as much or out earn us. Women have no pressure to find that man to support them
I've gotten sonned and played by a lot of men trying to be the opposite of what the OP posted. I get ghosted a lot and then the 6month - 1 year later "hey stranger long time" text. It's exhausting having to go through that over and over, especially if you live in an area like the DMV where there are a lot attractive, black, professional men and women. It's like there are too many choices and no one can focus. The way these men act, it's like they're looking past me for the next best thing. It's hard not to get jaded in a dating environment like this.

That's a sad way to look at the life. You can love another person thats not related to you. Stop being scared of being tricked and played. You never gonna experience real anything being scared.

I love how you break this down to being scared. It so many factors that go into a relationship today it's not even funny.Hell my 90 yr old grandmother can see that things have changed.

I agree that ppl in that age demographic don't want the hard work of maintaining a relationship, but tbh with the advent of technology and globalization u really can live an exciting and fulfilling life without romantic love. Especially if u can finance it. A trip to Italy, a trip to Spain, a trip to South Africa, etc. A wine and painting class. Indoor skydiving. Running a marathon. Volunteering. U can do all of these things with ur friends (or alone if ur brazen enough). Could they be more fun if done with a spouse? Possibly. But long gone are the days where u need a loving relationship to live a prosperous fulfilling life

At the beginning of mean streets
@Elle Driver will be the first female president of #GreenCardGang she's what this countries been missing and I fully endorse her candidacy.

The mentality here is disgusting, I have to be honest. Out here it's like people lose themselves. I want to retire in the Serengenti with my husband. :noah: People stay married 40+ years not cause they have to, cause they understand the importance of relationships. It's like westerners always think there's something better out there and wanna throw out something good in search of it. There's no being content. It's affecting the whole damn world.

You didn't answer my question

Why SHOULD "meaningful" relationships take effort and hard work?

Why would you put voluntarily put yourself through additional stress when life is already stressful enough?

This is just some feel good Oprah/Tyler Perry rhetoric

"Oh chile work through the tough times if you REALLY luv somebody"

it's all nonsense

From man's perspective it should never be a bad time in a relationship.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Ehhhh most of us will grow out of it by our mid 30s.

Be careful breh, the older you get the lower the quality of single people around you gets.

You may grow out of it and look around and see just :ld: to pick from.

I'd honestly be single if I weren't with who I'm with, I'm a very aloof person at times and most women don't understand how to deal with someone that is quiet by nature. Everyone feels like there's always something better around the corner, I fully understand that if this ends it was the high point and there will be nothing better than her moving forward. Yeah, I could fukk randoms, but no other woman will know me like her, and I wont know any other women like her. I think too many people get with people for the wrong reasons, only looks or how much someone makes. Me and wifey are each others best friend, and growing up my sister was more of my best friend than anyone else so being close to a female is normal to me.

you don't really "need" it, but life is a hell of a lot more fun when you do have a genuine loving relationship. exploring paris or cape town wit ya homeboys or ya girlfriends is cool and fun, even solo sometimes, but when you got a true ride or die partner that you can experience that shyt with, it's unlike anything else. especially those first time experiences.
