Yeah. I'd have no problem taking him now knowing where we are picking.
He'd be the best point guard the Lakers had since Nick Van Exel. How do y'all feel about Mark Jackson? Seems like he'd be the perfect coach. Y'all sign him as the coach and sign Z-BO and Stack Jack and some tough ass veterans that can win games by punking teams and striking fear in them and y'all get that 7th or 8th seed. Tanking another season is not the answer.

Smart is longer (pause) and a better defender. He also attacks the rim better. Smart is more of a sure thing, imo.

A 6'3 two guard with subpar athleticism and jump shot, I'm sure he'll be such a great NBA starter :troll:
Lavine may be frail and a weak defender, but he actually fits as a two guard on a NBA team.
Even if he never becomes a good defender, he'll likely get stronger and he has range with elite athleticism.
Smart's best case scenario is a poorman's Baron Davis w/o the explosiveness, while Lavine can become a shorter more athletic version of Klay Thompson.

Lavine may never live up to his potential, but he has a jumper and athleticism, something that is rare to find in NBA wings(especially young players). Let's say he doesn't fit in LA, you can always put him in a package to acquire a Al Horford or Demarcus Cousins in the coming years. In the NBA, you always draft the player with the most upside, word to the Magic drafting Dwight(high upside) over Emeka(sure thing).

Smart ceiling is alot higher than a poorman's Baron Davis. way stronger. already a better defender than Baron was.

If we strike out Smart, what do yall think of Lavine? He can back up both Kobe and Nash:flabbynsick: He's going to take awhile to develop though. Seems a bit high for 7th though

So nobody wants Doug McDermott?:ohhh:

I actually think he'd be a good pick at #7 and he's a great shooter:manny:

He dominated the Big East last year and would fit in good at SF
