I have always felt that Byron Scott has had a better resume than Hollins. You can say the east was wack in 2002-03 all you want, the Nets still made it out of there. And they didn't look terrible against the Spurs in 2003, just wasn't good enough to finish it off.

I think the Lakers have felt Byron was the man all along, just wanted to wait to make it official for whatever reason.

Mike Brown had a great resume too and so did Mike Dantoni. That didn't make them good coaches.

Scott accomplished more than them, and the Nets only had two players (Kenyon and Kidd) that most teams would like to have had.

The fact that Byron had success again in New Orleans should tell you he isn't this terrible coach you're making him out to be. Lionel Hollins has had one season and all of a sudden he's the hidden gem behind bringing us back to the top.

If the Lakers wanted Hollins, they would have made a move sooner. They pretty much have already known they want Byron. To think there's is a significant fall off between the two is laughable. Some of y'all are acting like Byron Scott is the worst coach in the league, and Hollins is the best.

:laff: This franchise is in shambles. Can't believe some of y'all actually support the Byron Scott hiring:heh: He's a terrible head coach.

I told y'all Mitch and Jim was gonna focus too much on getting Melo/Lebron and end up with 3rd tier players, coaches.
