Those A220s also

AIRBUS230-1st-JetBlue.206s-696x464.jpg

December 10

The first Airbus A220-300 destined for JetBlue Airways completed its test flight yesterday at Mobile’s Brookley Airplex and is ready for delivery before the end of the year.

The aircraft sports JetBlue’s new “Hops” livery, names for the airline’s plan of making a long journey in a series of small hops.

JetBlue has ordered 70 of the fuel-efficient single-aisle aircraft, which also boasts reduced noise and NOx emissions.

To date, about 130 of the A220 craft are in service in Asia, Europe and Africa, as well as the Americas.

Airbus, based in Europe, has operated a final assembly line for the larger A320 family of aircraft in Mobile for five years and has delivered 180 of those craft, which have flown some 60 million passengers for about 500 million miles.

Bham is definitely on the come up.

Everytime I visit home its crazy to me how much the city has changed.

Gentrification is hitting hard to, downtown got all types of lofts, condos, shops and breweries :mjpls: that use to be abandon buildings and space a decade ago.

New stadium (finally) on the north side just gonna lead to that whole area getting tore down and replaced with shopping centers and apartments and shyt.

Grew up in Demopolis so I've heard about it all my life. Never been.

Never thought I'd hear nikkas from all over the country talking about it though.
I went to ASU and when I got cool with some locals I learned about it. It was amazing strippers with bullet wounds and carrying their money in crown royal bags on one side in tents and on the others a fair type of environment with families. All this in a huge cow pasture, I loved it:blessed:

Apple near deal to build cars near Georgia-Alabama border

Apple is reportedly close to a deal with Hyundai-Kia for the tech giant to build its own brand of electric cars in Georgia on the Alabama border.

The tech giant and the auto manufacturer may be closing the deal on Feb. 17 to use Hyundai-Kia’s West Point, Georgia plant to build the so-called “Apple Car,” an electric vehicle that uses Apple hardware and software, according to CNBC.

While CNBC reported that the Apple Car is expected to be self-driving, Bloomberg reported that an autonomous Apple vehicle could be at least five years away. Both outlets said the vehicle is expected to be electric, putting Apple in direct competition with Tesla.

The Apple Car is expected to begin production in 2024 if the deal with Hyundai-Kia is finalized.

But an agreement is not yet in place, CNBC cautioned, and Apple may choose to partner with another automaker. Hyundai-Kia’s Georgia plant has the capacity to accommodate the production of an Apple Car, however.

For those that don't know Hyundai has a plant in Montgomery. Kia has a plant on the border in Georgia about 1 hour or so away.
