Still need to watch Hero X, but man I am impressed by how much donghua has come out this year. Before it felt like it was only Link Clink, but there is even more stuff from this year alone.

Im telling you breh the Chinese takeover was swift and the quality is top notch jokes are funnier, less horniness, animation and stories more ambitious, shyt's been peak

Appreciate the heads up breh, I have been impressed by the smooth transition this material seems to be making in the market. Usually a couple series have to crash against the rocks before finding a niche but there's been very little lost in translation.

Finished Fire Force S2, still really enjoying the show. Might wait until S3 is done, before I start it. Has a lot of familiar anime tropes and designs, but I do like the religious component which I haven't seen in other shows .

Plus the sound effects when powers are activated are some of the best I've heard, whenever they go into the Adolla Burst or Adolla Link with Shinra

When season 5 of immortal king drops

Too much anime adapted from manga & light novels just be copy and paste. For every unique story, you get 10 copies. Def with Chinese stuff there is a better control in terms of quality, not throwing shyt as a PnG slideshow like with TBATE.

Honestly, with anime my biggest issue with the horny fan service is when it serves no purpose. Series like Monogatari, CSM, etc. being examples yes it has that, but how it uses it within the story it has a purpose and how it uses it is pretty good. Both have excellent use of satire. So many shows just throw so much horny fan service just for sake and that is literally the identity of the show. No storytelling involved.

I can only hope it grows enough to rival anime. Though we are a long way from that happening, though.

I do agree with what Endo said to a degree though, they should just let Sakura be a one man army and just assist other squads

Finished watching Too Perfect Saint. Despite the rough start, it actually got better as the cast expanded. Both sisters side of the story was pretty good. Philia learning to learn and depend on others after basically being abused from overworked and taken advantage of. Mia is a great deconstruction of the siscon archetype. Ignoring how much of a cartoon antagonist Julius was, this was a very solid Josei anime, which there are very few of them. Would rate 7.5/10. Do feel Asmodeus had more potential as a villain, but it's nice the anime kept things self-contained since there is more to the story and more than likely it won't get a S2.

Decided to check out "Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt" since Trigger is making a sequel to the original anime that Gainax made back in 2010. I am always looking to watch any new anime Trigger puts out. Easily a top 3 studio imo.

With that being said, I can already tell the influence and parody it takes from Western Adult Animation. My God

The dirty jokes make stuff like Dandadan & Grand Blue seem light in comparison.

The animation is good and creative. Gainax used to be a pretty good studio back in the day from what I recall.
