yo, this Witch Watch show is fukking funny, ep2. with all the fukk ups and the manga/anime callbacks has me

The creator is the same guy who wrote SKET Dance. He was also an assistant of Gintama. So, if you liked those, it is absolutely worth a shot.

Being caught up with the manga, the series is really well-thought-out and with good solid writing to it. Obviously, the series lives and dies to what you think of the gags.

Honestly, the comedy has been better than it has been in the manga so far. The comedy direction in particular has been amazing. Kind of wished this was the same case with Grand Blue

Voice acting is pretty great as well. I sometimes find that in anime, if the MCs have people that know how to convey a funny reaction, half of the job of making a line a dialogue funny is already made.

How long is the manga? Not the kind of series I'd go out of my way to read but for it to rely in a simple romance and a lot of gag comedy I'd me surprised if it's worth keeping up with it after the first 4-5 arcs before it gets way too repetitive.

If you like the chaotic comedy of Gintama, mixing in some magical elements and some romance, along with the surprise punch of Mob Psycho 100, Witch Watch is a must-watch.

It's over 200 chapters right now. It's difficult to mention without spoiling, but the gags still feel good and that is the main core of the series. It being centered around Nico's magic is probably what really helps it a lot. Regarding the main story, that part does feel dragged a bit. Though to be fair again, that's not the core of the series. So it's fine that it is like that for me.

Given how good the anime is adapting the manga for Witch Watch, I don't think the manga is a must-read. Since I think the anime just takes the manga's comedy to another level. I was worried about the newbie who they cast as Nico, but she has been great.

Making a strong case to be the GOAT

In terms of popularity and pop culture significance, the series is definitely up there with DBZ and One Piece. Even people that don't really watch anime can easily point out Goku, Naruto, and Luffy. Kishimoto, Oda, and Toriyama are the blueprint.
