Anime basically covers all the volumes the manga adaptation has covered. With that said, it is only 4/16 Volumes out of the Light Novel. So interesting what they do since anime does add elements used in the manga even if it adapts the Light Novel.

All depends on if they're willing to go past the manga. Since manga is a big seller.
Gawd damn how dense are the Light Novels :damn: :mindblown:

My guess is that take the Mushoku Tensei, route and don't wait for a manga that's so behind and wont be able to keep up. At the end of the day the source material is what matters and I'd expect that both LN and manga win by having a popular anime airing.

Having said all that, season 3 wont be coming earlier than late 2027 most likely:sadcam:

Well, the manga of MT isn't really a seller like Slime or Apothecary. Plus I heard it's a bad adaptation from people that like Mushoku Tensei. (I think I heard it skips a light novel volume, though lately, I think they fixed that?)

For example, the anime for slime NEVER goes past the manga even if there is so much Light Novel content left. To me, it's 50:50 if they will wait for the manga of Apothecary to have more content or continue along. It's def at least a 2 year wait as you said.

there might be a volume or two worth skipping, i read the light novel, definitely had some lengthy sections of just backstory or prep work that didn't really move the plot :manny:

that being said the story was still fire, if they skipped any of the fukkery that happened tho:snoop:

Honestly, MT world building & overworld story is top-notch. That's a given. But man, the character writing feels much, much worse. Makes me feel like the author wanted to cater this to Light Novel readers by making it more wish fulfillment harem. The fact that there are VOLUMES worth skipping is kinda :francis:

The dynamic of Eris & Rudy was actually great because they both start off awful kids in their own way, of course. Through S1 Eris motivates Rudy & vice versa. I dropped it in the middle of the ED with how it tries to play that arc as more comedic made me uncomfortable. Like the series is 98% of the time in a more serious tone and that arc tried to play things differently. Also the fact Sylphie didn't even question what Rudy did was :dwillhuh:. Well I did hear from readers she is a massive simp who enjoys being cucked :skip:

I think part of me was also the fan base declared this story as Rudy's redemption story. Where now I am hearing its more of his 2nd chance at life basically. Maybe watching it with that expectation would help. I will give the series a swing again when the anime fully adapts the novel, which feels like a given at this point.

Really nice episode for Yaiba. The water orb is interesting and could prove effective. Though it doesn't seem as dangerous as his previous orb. Also, nice to see Sayaka being able to help too.

Got to love Wit flexxing. We got so many action shounens with great animation this summer and meanwhile there is Sakamoto Days :skip:

ED arc was a waste of time, but the anime is currently at the exact point where the story goes to 100 and kind of stays there for a while. The ED arc in and of itself is skippable and you could just go back into the story after that and won't miss a beat.

rudy's harem situation gets more bearable (as long as the anime doesn't drag it out) so it's not really a big deal unless the viewers themselves decide to get in a fuss over a guy's women being comfortable with sharing :manny: shyt is small potatoes in the scheme of the story, if anything it shows a very realistic version of co-parenting

but i was mostly talking about the sidequests sections being skippable, they really don't amount to much outside of a character or two becoming friends with Rudy, you could skip out the entire sidequest and just let them have a conversation or a quick moment to get to that same conclusion.

This shyt aint about Rudy's redemption at all

He is literally just living a second life, he has moments here and there when he thinks about his past life, but that's it, it's nothing an anime viewer would need to keep in the back of their head while watching

I actually started the manga before the LN and I didn't have any meaningful issue with the adaptation. They do skip some stuff and do some changes but tbh, the complaints I've read are basically neckbeards throwing a fit because they think changing a phrase, a word or a reaction "completely changes the meaning" of whatever. The manga has a hilariously slow release (monthly but with 20-25 pages at most) so it's not worth checking in though.

Every manga adaptation of a light novel is like this :snoop:

You seldom get the full story unless it's a short work. Like mentioned with Apothecary, you are barely at the cusp of the story. For instance, the manga started in 2017, and it took 8 years to cover the first 4 light novel volumes. Meanwhile, it took the anime less than 2 years to do the same. Unless the manga had some god tier art I just don't bother with manga adaptations.

Also :dead: at what you said they take issue over. I hate source readers like that.

Watched First Episode of Lord of Mysteries.

It seems very interesting, but damn a lot of shyt happened really fast. I don't think that is a bad idea, but it is a lot to take in. Animation & Visuals look beautiful and the ideas of Tarrot cards playing a role is interesting.

Will probably gather all of my thoughts after watching episode 2.

Demon Slayer movie dropping in September :leon: . Might try to see it in theaters, if it's playing in Japanese in a theater near me.

it was alot but i prefer when stuff starts with characters who already know way more than us like this, it helps for that initial immersion into the story IMO

it was lowkey giving me Overlord vibes with how he couldn't figure out who he was exactly so he immediately freestyled that name and how to look cool doing it just to keep the illusion that he was in complete control :russ: shyt's interesting tho, nikka didn't know how to answer Justice's question so he immediately put The Hanged Man on the spot :dead: this is gonna be supreme fukkery if they keep this up with the animation being crazy and the power system
