Before chainsaw man how likely was edgerunners to win anime of the year?

Does the Japanese anime community even acknowledge it the same way they do other anime? Being that it's highly mature rated and on Netflix.
CSM is like.... its straight up not gonna be for everyone. Its not some money in the bank like some other stuff.

Honestly, that first ep let me down if anything.

I was thinking the same but didn't wanna bring the mood down - the Deji transformation, fights looked better in the manga for sure.

I'm gonna enjoy this show but im not sure its a cant miss generational kind of thing

The manga didn't really impress me at all but I'll definitely check out the anime though haven't watched it yet but will check it out this weekend.

Finally finished OG Mobile Suit Gundam.

Enjoyed it. :ehh:

Glad it took Amuro nearly 42 episodes to realise that the White Base was practically his family now. :troll:

Hayato quickly moving to Fraw Brow when he saw that her and Amuro was never happening. :russ:

They really liked it from a quality perspective. Tho their preference from the JP audience for anime of the year would be between Demon Slayer, SxF, Kaguya, Lycoris and Made in Abyss.

Also CSM, Bleach and Mob would be higher up for them I would assume as they get more episodes and maintain their quality. Cyberpunk just is nowhere as popular as these big names in Japan.

Edge runners was really good. But I take Demon Slayer and Abyss over it comfortably. Matter of fact, I'd put Summertime Rendering over it too.

Finally got around to watch Masaaki Yuasa's Kemonozume. I really enjoyed the 1st episode. The animation and art is superb. :wow: I like how the story, character development and plot is already established in the first ep. I'm already hooked in.

this (and the premise) actually sounds right up my alley. Gonna add it to the watch list.

First Episode of Urusei Yatsura aired today. Never watched the OG, but I really liked what I saw out of this episode. It had a lot of charm to it. Lum is great all around. Ataru is a fukking idiot, but is written in a clever way. Looking forward to see more from this show.

If I'm being real, I wasn't 100% sold on the CGI during the final fight in chainsaw man. With the amount of hype this is getting it should be like one punch man season 1, attack on titan, jjk level animation and fluidity.

It was still enjoyable but they got to come with a lot more than that going forward.
