Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

Was going through MAL's list of shows to see if something sounded/looked interested and caught this Uma Musume series that had a really high rating (high 8's).

I know MAL's ratings are not to be trusted but fukk it, I decide to check it out and it's a bunch of bytches racing like they are horses what in the name of fukk

You knew I'd leave if you didn't throw another punch this week. So ya'll give us a dope fight and switch shyt up a lil with some character growth, but then right when I'm about to give ya'll redemption props, ya'll nikkas throw that fukking tranny shyt at us again. Even the main character said What the hell is this.

fukk then you introduce some cool new nikkas so now I gotta keep watching this hot and cold bullshyt.

I was like they put the most animation at the end . Even considering the animation for the fight was clean They gotta keep the fujo fed because they are the ones who actually support it. Just like they did with JJK.

I mentioned Suou is by far the most interesting character. Him training Nirei and keeping an eye on him while Sakura works on being leader was some real MVP shyt. I need to know his backstory because it feels like he has been through some real shyt, especially when he goes

Haven't watched the series yet, but it's based on real horse races and the same with the characters if I recall correctly. Got the typical anime shyt of making them all anime girls and the amount of money they get from the gacha game and merch is kind of insane.



Also, the animation from the few clips I have seen is always insane as well

You got to give Apocalypse Hotel a chance. The comedy's writing and directing is top-notch. Also, the writing is superb as well. How it handles different themes in the most subtle way is really good. Def a sleeper that I could see many people miss.

Also the animation is very good like in today's episode.

Finally, a good episode of Lazarus.

Been watching it with a new chick of mine and I can't believe how bored I've been.

But also, I felt the same way about Cowboy Bebop as a kid, it had to grow on me as I got older, so I won't write it off yet.

Something about the Cartoon Network animes and some Netflix animes is the pacing be slow…..

Its too dialoguey with conversations about a bunch of nothing in between “stuff” happening

Been watching it with a new chick of mine and I can't believe how bored I've been.

But also, I felt the same way about Cowboy Bebop as a kid, it had to grow on me as I got older, so I won't write it off yet.

Right now it has a lot of the same "moves" as Bebop, but none of the heart, none of the story.

They're randomly chasing their version of "The Laughing Man" (c) GITS, and it's really not that interesting.

This latest episode had some teeth to it.

But 6 eps in, I could give AF about any of these characters.

The most recent episode was decent, but nothing special. Show is just mid overall.

The openings and endings are the best thing about this shyt.

story is decent, but the dialogue and conversations just aren't good enough to expand on it.

Never was a fan of Cowboy Bebop, but even that was better than this shyt.

I'm just hoping the animators eat better off them American Dollars...I consider projects like these "back pay".

Apocalypse Hotel is the best thing this season.

Old Country Bumpkin and Windbreakers (even with all the Ranma 1/2/"Agenda" stuff popping off) are prolly my #2 and #3.

MHA Vigilantes is right there on the edge..

But Your Forma, Moonrise, Lazarus - all had a lot of promise and then nothing.

I'm still holding out hope for Kowloon, but that show is more bizarre than anything. 6 episodes of pump faking a mystery or nah?
I always wonder if there's something deeply cultural about how they tell stories in Anime that I'm just not picking up on. In Japanese film, there's usually a "breather" scene that the film critics say don't really appear in Western Films... Prolly some cat wrote a disseration on Anime storytelling and the interface with Western Audiences....

And then I'm watching all the fantasy/bs/trash shoes - Gorilla God Girl, Beginning after the End, Witch's Death, Unaware Atelier Master, Intergalatic Evil Lord, Healer, Left my A-Rank Party, Too Perfect Saint, The one with ogre/oni and the witch, Teogonia...
