That nicca went HARD for One Piece…

I don’t think we really have one die hard OP stan in here

As a person who is current in the manga and watched everything - minus fillers

One Piece is good but its not GOAT level imo.

I think the length of the series actually works aganist it at this point :yeshrug:

Oda could've been wrapped this shyt up, and the formula for each arc has gotten kinda stale if we're being honest.

Damn, this is a legit dark fantasy that has some fantastic writing. The 2nd episode is as impressive as the 1st.

I love the world building in this anime. I liked how they made the boss of the bandits competent. He knows that with the Hideneans gone, that the fake swords that he has in his possesion will sell even more. But more so if he can get the true Regalia and create those weapons. He can make a killing for selling them and potentially having a monopoly on them. He is scum, but he is not an idiot.

I feel so bad for Neruru. She was born into slavery. Her mother sacrificed herself to keep her safe until she disappeared. The sad part is she didn't realize what her mom did until she left. Then she got abused. It seems they just moved on to Neruru. I imagined she was forced to have sex, but she couldn't even have a child delivered to this world. It is clear as day through Neruru we can see the ugliest of humans. It's clear Klen will have his uses for her. I do want Alicia to hear her story.

But to make the bandits even more scum, they are forcing humans to meet their end in the "The Shaft of Elbe," where the Arvensis are. truly sickening to hold out false promises to their slaves. They are just sending them to their deaths as entertainment. After all, if Khordhwar couldn't do anything, what chance do you think slaves will have.

Though Alicia is undead, so it works in her favor here. I do wonder if she will get the "Stream Spitter", which would make things even more in her favor.

To me, in a lot of these series, you can tell if they try too hard, where it comes across as something that is super edgy or ventures into more trauma porn. Takopi this season is one that really feels like the latter. That one makes the trauma stuff in this show seem like nothing.

This one feels like, with the world-building and such, it is building itself well. Granted it is still early, but I am liking what I am seeing. Alicia taking the chance that she is undead is an example of that. lots of series, the author might have forgotten that they are undead. It feels like things are getting setup for a reason. More than likely I think she is going to end up with that sword that the bandits are after.

Of course you can have all the good build up in the world, but it doesn't mean much without proper execution. Which we can only wait and see.
