nikka what

I watched first episode of season 2

What’s the issue

:jbhmm:
Only first episode, my bad :hubie: season 2 got crucified for having blatantly cheaper animation than season 1, whole anime community was pissed, it was a discussion every week it was so bad

I'm not sure the fall off was there in the first episode though

I thought you watched the whole shyt :mjlol: you was bouta catch a hot L in here.

The plot is so entertaining you can still enjoy it tho, but man, the animation in s2 ain't the hill to die on at all, be safe

Takopi's Original Sin is crushing it rn :wow: watching this shyt fall apart hits hard

Octopus already talking about snitching :why: man hell naw this whole thing was your fault
Shizuka almost had the kid turn himself in for a crime he didn't commit :dead:

She is just like her fukking mother :dead:

It's wild how the kids take after their mothers.

Crazy how the show makes you not like that girl at all, I get that she's broken but damn :hhh: she literally sliming everyone out

It's actually an interesting turn because in most cases we are sympathetic to kids being bullied. Tbh what she is doing is as bad, if not worse than what Marina did to her.

Watching EP 2 of Tougen Anki and it made me think @Jmare007 @storyteller @tripleaamin

I'm approaching my capacity for shows with organizations/agencies that the MC is forced to join :russell: the dynamics of it have gotten old, you can see everything coming from a mile away, Trash man(Gachiakuta) feels the same way, haven't read it but it's obvious he's about to join a group of "Cleaners" and you can kinda guess what kind of personalities are gonna be present, they gonna have ally groups and enemy groups, probably have a secret connection with the people up top, etc.

That fact that this nikka in Anki pulled out an umbrella JUST like Enjin in Gachiakuta emphasizes my point:dead: the overlap is crazy, I hate when a bunch of same-ish shows come out at the same time, it's like staring at a shelf full of air force 1 lows and bapestas for too long, after looking enough you walk out the store not wanting that style of shoe at all

I'll keep watching the ones I'm already invested in but I'm not tryna add any new joints to the playlist unless they bringing a new spin to it :snooze:
Gachiakuta's power system is one of its strong points imo. The characters and world-building are iterative for sure, but they have some genuine depth and development. The action is dope, and the artwork is super clean. The power system reminds me of a creative tweak on Akame Ga Kill's Teigu, nothing new but its fun and applied in interesting ways.

There are some promising developments in the manga for the characters that have me optimistic that it's gonna be a standout. The villains and side characters are genuinely dope. It's worth giving it the season imo.

That's cool, my point is I'm burnt out on the "hero organization" setup in stories right now :russell: when too many similar styles projects come out nonstop for 2+ years I'm likely to toss that whole subgenre into the bushes for a while and only watch the few I think are the best

shyt loses it's luster after a while

Caught up with the Remake of Anne Shirley. It's an excellent coming-of age Slice of Life. But the pacing has taken a hit for compared to when they got to adapting "Anne of Avonlea" compared to adapting "Anne of Green Gables". Well half the episode count kind of explains it.

I feel like it's a forever issue with shonen rather than just a past two years thing. It's harder to think of good shonen without a big organization that gives missions and introduces the broader cast of allies then it is to come up with exceptions. Dandadan comes to mind.
