Very interesting on the parallels between Akane & Nene. Both Hanako & Teru knew of the reality of what was about to happen to Aoi. Of course here you can really see that Akane loves Aoi despite the hurtful things he said in the previous episode.
Though, man the Hanako & Nene farewell hit like a truck. Once again we got Hanako making decisions for Nene and basically granting her wish. Though not giving Nene what she wants. It's clear by now that Nene wants an ideal life, and of course that means Aoi must be a part of it. Though also Hanako will be disappearing too. You can actually tell that this is painful for him too. Much like in the Picture Perfect Arc, he was looking at the realities and what he could do. Of course Nene is broken, and she loves Hanako so much that she can't even attempt to hit him. Add extra with Mitsuba & the other school mysteries disappearing.
The 2nd half of the episode added good stuff about Teru. He has responsibilities as head of the Minamoto clan, but it really highlighted how much he had to do. Along with his school duties, he had his exorcist duties after school. This is the first day off he had. I do love that he did his best to cheer Nene up because he knows losing both Hanako & Aoi is rough despite how he actually feels about Hanako personally.
Though an interesting point that Akane brings up is that Teru hasn't given up. Teru can be cruel to supernaturals, but in terms of saving someone his heart is good. Right now Hanako & Aoi were forced out of the near shore and basically the real world and pushed into the boundary. So to save Aoi, they would need to make it to the boundary. Now getting there is the question, but Teru's work could give a clue here.
