only complaint that i kind of expected was the length of the flashbacks, it's easier to stomach in a series because you have way more time to work with, in movies that shyt will feel like an eternity

they did have that RANDOM ass truck crash into the orphanage when she escaped that was never explained, seemingly out of nowhere :ohhh: easy way to break her out while not exposing who or why

That's the thing, Zheng seemed to ship Cyan to that place to basically hid her from the all the hero world fukkery. Was that on purpose to hide her from Mickey and the other handlers? Or was it a legit good deed he retroactively figured out worked for the best once he figured out what was really going on with the Commission and the agencies? :patrice: In hindsight we are supposed to feel :leostare: about Zheng, that's why I think he might've pushed for Cyan to give Queen that lucky touch on purpose...but given the timeline, maybe at that point Zheng didn't know enough to do such a calculated move.

i think they(mickey and Zheng) knew the head of the orphanage was a desperate ex-hero from jump and used that situation to cultivate her ability quietly since they could always go back and get her later, someone else knew Lou's ability was to bring bad luck and brought him there, which imo fits Rock's m.o. more than any of the other agency heads at that point in the plot, he collects sad boyz

what if he(rock) found out about lucky cyan's powers and intentionally sent Luo to that orphanage as an experiment to see which one of their powers would dominate

and Mickey/DOS realized they needed to get her outta there before Rock stole her, cuz like you said her power is the most valuable to other people :jbhmm:

remember Mickey and Shand are both tryna get Rock out the paint, and Luo was originally gonna escape with her, i wouldn't be surprised if Rock was already planning on using him to get her over to MG, would make all his plans work smoothly.

Mickey and them told her Luo was dead, it would make sense they were the ones who helped truck-kun make an appearance and almost kill him


Sheng was a former X living in the middle of nowhere and still got walked down when they felt like it, she was never completely off the radar now that im thinking about it


it's nice having a show where so many players are smart as hell, everything seems so intentional you can hypothesize for days :banderas:

Oh yeah, the way the flashbacks are there are way more suited for a weekly TV broadcast than a movie. I get why they made the final arc a movie trilogy, but it is definitely a con and makes it as a film experience awkward. Though this is what Demon Slayer has always been, so I don't think anyone should be surprised unless someone is new to anime.

They adapted the rest of volume 17 by finishing adapting chapter 83 as well as chapters 84 and 85.

I loved the sound direction here; the choice of music was great. I do think in terms of animation itself, scenes weren't as good as the manga, but I still like the episode a lot.

1 episode left, and I have no idea what they're going to do to end the season. 86 as a stop point made the most sense, but it looks like they are going past that, and the next stopping point is finishing up at 94, which is unreachable.

Poor Nene. Just hearing what the three guys are talking about and Teru saying he plans to take out Hanako. Tbh it makes sense why he did because his actions were what led to this moment. Of course, Nene wants to save Hanako. Teru mentions to his brother and Akane to have Nene's support. Though he definitely didn't expect the support Ko did in terms of saving Hanako for Nene.

It is interesting to look at the similarity between Hanako & Aoi. Different circumstances, but they both can't express themselves properly. Granted, for Aoi it's more just being honest. Of course, Hanako being an apparition & Nene being a living person is never an ideal match. Hanako pushes away Nene for what he thinks is best for her, even if Nene doesn't agree.

The fight between Hanako & Teru really shows how strong Teru is. I believe this is the first time we really got to see his strength firsthand.
