@Jmare007 I know you are big on Wit shows. This is a big blow. Damn, I feel bad for Bookworm fans since it got picked up by them. But yeah, they're picking up too many shows so I wonder what happens. Yaiba is a passion project by Okada, so S2 for that should be fine; the rest I would worry about.

How are you going to be an anime service for hardcore anime fans and not have typesetting? shyt, I'd rather watch anime on Netflix or Hulu at this point. For typesetting, it's just HiDive, pirate, or use a VPN for Muse Asia & Tropics Anime Asia. Rest is basically how Netflix has it.

Of the shows being listed there, I only follow Ranking of Kings and was always impressed by both the animation and the direction of the bigger episodes. I wonder if WIT will keep animating it though.

You are right that WIT has been taking way more projects in the past few years. I'm not sure they would've dropped AoT or Vinland Saga if they were making the choice in 2025

The fact that producer is getting its own studio is cool though. Normally when that happens that new studio gets 1-3 projects that are outstanding.

It's also under CyberAgent, so it would be their 2nd studio alongside Cygames Pictures. Which, imo has been the studio of the year. As Cinderella Gray, Apocalypse Hotel & The Summer Hikaru Died are all standouts from this year. Cloverworks on a great run this year, but imo Cygames adaptations are much more interesting and creative. Quite similar to how Trigger does their work.

I am curious what projects this new studio will pick up. I could see the main Uma Musume series going here. It seems like Netflix has been funding the projects that Wit has been doing. Bookworm is a commitment that I am not sure Wit can keep with as it's one of the Big 3 for isekai and 3 more parts are left to be adapted. One Piece remake is another that they could hand off to another studio.

As far as Ranking of Kings, when S1 ended, they were basically caught up, so it still might be a good while until that gets a continuation.

i never knew all this lore behind the Kill Bill O-ren Ishii flashback scene ghost in the shell, champloo, breaking the habit video, were all classic introduction to anime projects, that was an all star team and this nikka tarantino didn't even make an appointment

Just watched the premiere of Spy X Family S3 on Hulu. Good to have the show back, one of the most consistently funny anime.

Beginning of Ninja vs Gokudo is silly as hell when anime heads bump into one another IRL for the first time
