More than that, Biden had a level of personality. He was the "fun, inappropriate uncle" to a lot of white people during Obama's time and so a lot of his gaffes could be forgiven. They need someone with some sort of easy categorized personality first. The rest in regards to policy will be easier to sell to the people at that rate.
The good thing is that we will not be running against Trump but instead, Vance who has far less personality.
Ultimately, one has to understand that many Americans vote or can be tricked into voting for someone based on their personality alone.

Sometimes I forget people confuse social media popularity with real life effectiveness.

There are so many hurdles to her even making it through a primary, from self-inflicted stupidity to her own party kicking her back in, that she isn't even worth putting money into as a serious candidate.
