One of the major problems with people like Bernie and AOC is the constant screaming about capitalism = bad, and "tax billionaires!" is that it just comes across as the bland type of rhetoric that only appeals to college students and envious people. They can't have serious discussions about wealth because they'd get exposed. This happened to Bernie once already a few years ago in some town-hall type interview. They aren't smart enough politically, don't understand basic economics, and have a poor grasp of "the wealth problem" so they can't convince people with a brain to vote for their stupid ideas.

By voting for Trump, a lot of Americans explicitly co-signed being against many of things that they perceive Newsom to stand for and what his state represents.

The sitting VP was really the only choice. She was on a winning national ticket already, had access to Biden's war chest, and leapfrogging her would have caused a longterm rift with Black voters and segment of female voters.

Seeing the response to his interview with Charlie Kirk, I think he ruined any chance of winning.

I don't agree with him saying Bernie is the only candidate who is talking about that because Bernie never speaks about those topics with any kind of depth or clarity. His point about the shrinking consumer base was odd too.
