Public's schools aren't being strengthen, segregation is back on the rise in schools.

Universal health and sentencing reforms are more buzz words.

Weed laws changing doesn't change 40 years on the War on Drygs. It's become another avenue for capital to exploit a market.

STOP talking about black Americans as if we are stable in this country.

Americans aren't dealing with 55 year low homeownership, we are. Talk about it!

Americans are dealing with 40% unemployment in 35 major cities. We are!

What are doing? Half ass measures don't fix extraordinary disfunction.

Again, your saying they don't have to speciy black people on anything, but, at the same time it's gonna be alright because these will all reach us.

That's never been the case that rising tides raise all ships.

Go look up the Great Depression and the New Deal. We were fighting another 60 years after legislation that was supposed to help us all without specifiying us.

New Deal = Dirty Deal (what blacks would refer this deal as)

The Great Society Program

Freedmen's Bureau.

Don't forget about these programs as well. Treaty of 1866 which is supposed to be for black folks. Haven't heard not one black politician since I've been born speak on this treaty.

ITs not just about voting, it's about being politically engaged

We get shyt candidates because at best we only give a shyt around election time, and they already know how we are going to vote :francis:

Black people are the jumpoffs of the political world.... we give it up for nothing more than a chance to buck dance and hear a DNC bedtime story

It's to the point now where they are calling on us to vote while actively and openly shytting on us

What’s the cause of segration and failing schools? I blame the GOP who has actively fought for the demise of public schooling. Could it be that they want to keep the populace uneducated because educated folks tend to be more liberal and thats the reason why they constantly deride higher education and even want to get rid of the department of education altogether????

I'm not negging you or putting you on ignore.

Stop trolling.

You think Demorcrats are actually doing all those things you listed. Cool.

The point of this thread is, no, they aren't and the proof is in that they advocate for immigrants, girl power, LGBT issues, etc .

And your response is; the work will trickle down.

Then you took the one time I mentioned Republicans to make about partisanship.

This thread is about what was the point in all that voting for black people--the only people shamed for voting.

Im done with you. You detail the thread. Congrats.

I am not trolling bro, I’m dead ass trying to understand what you want the Dems to do in these situations and how they can do it. How is that trolling?

Acknowledge and advocate on behalf of black people.

Just like they are doing in those tweets for other people.

Deflecting and be sarcastic is trolling.

And u notice how all their shortcomings are explained by "well the Republicans won't let us have a utopia"

They're trying to make the case that they need absolute power to make beneficial changes.

They use the Republican boogeyman the same way racist Republicans use black people. A lot of these Democrat controlled areas haven't seen a Republican hold office in decades, the same way most racist Republicans would have to drive an hour or more to interact with black people.

At the end of the day, people are starting to see through this sham of a 2 party system. The next revolution will be dragging all these career politicians into the streets. Red and blue, they both sold out to corporate interests long ago.

They dont have answers because, like that other thread said, they think we're all stupid. Which was the goal of destroying public education

This Tariq Nasheed talking point is old, ignorant and has already been addressed multiple times in this thread. Complaining about policies that help black people only because they also help other under privileged people is mindblowingly idiotic and short sighted. What are the issues that affect us that don’t affect other groups? What should be done politically to alleviate these issues? You’re right, racist doctors are a problem. What can be done to alleviate this? You’re basically asking Dems to legislate the end of racism as we know it as if a law could end racism. If you have an ground breaking idea in mind that could do this I’d be glad to hear it.

These aren’t Tariq Nasheed talking points. He isn’t the first person to say to get our votes, they need to address our specific issues. MLK, Malcolm X and others have BEEN saying this. If you’re of the opinion that they were also mind blowing idiots, then you’re telling me a lot about yourself.

Why is it on me, the voter to implement ground breaking ideas? So you expect me to vote AND come up with the solutions? Do you understand how you’re putting all the blame on everyone except politicians? In your opinion, the common black person should not only vote, but spoonfeed the politicians solutions to obvious problems plaguing our communities.

I’ll give you a very obvious and current situation in which you can see how politicians handle different races with same problem differently:

The crack era vs the opioid epidemic.

I can’t even read the rest of that horse shyt you typed because you’re going the insult and ignore history route. Enjoy your day.

Here's something specifically for blacks that liberals shot down, in regards to the Obama library in Chicago.

A highlight of the article..

"To date, the foundation has declined to sign a CBA, but has said it supports the core idea of integrating"

The democrats have thumbed their nose at a community benifits agreement on the library.. Which is slated to gut up in a predominantly black community..

:what:

Absolutely no one is saying that. You do need NUMBERS and a majority in the congress and senate to make change though. This is why voting is important.

They use the Republican boogeyman the same way racist Republicans use black people. A lot of these Democrat controlled areas haven't seen a Republican hold office in decades, the same way most racist Republicans would have to drive an hour or more to interact with black people.

Again this is a statement made by people who know fukk all about how government works. There are democratic controlled areas that lie squarely in a country controlled by conservativism on the state, federal, and judicial level. You are the same kind of person that blames Obama for the lack of progress but ignores the fact that he had a congress who’s stated job was to obstruct everything he wanted to do for his entire presidency outside of 4 months where he had the majority to do what he wanted.

Um I always wondered why when these anti vote nikkas elaborate on how politics don’t matter or being politically active doesn’t matter for black people I should say ...they deflect to how other “minority groups” get so much and blacks so little but can anyone of you guys break down just exactly what the gays and the illegal immigrants have been granted by the government as of late that black folks don’t already have access to:patrice: i mean im just saying it seems to be rather strange to me to talk about how the political system is carrying out the agenda of gays for example by giving them the right to marry when blacks have been able to do that for decades now... I could see if these other groups were been granted some new progressive shyt that excluded black people but it just seems rather shallow to use that dynamic as the fundamental basis for your position:hubie: but I’m sleep

These smart dumb nikkas are only versed in wallowing in their own self pity they are incapable of formulating solutions...
What solutions do you suggest that we utilize in order to deal with the fact that the black community has been voting for decades and has nothing to show for all that voting?
