Conscientiousness is the most important indicator of success in your life.
A brother I used to work with at my first office gig during college is still there in the same position. Bumped into him in a subway on my day off today and he was talking a bunch of bullshyt. Specifically told him when we first met to soak up all the knowledge there, learn some new skills via asking for more work, put in a year and then bounce together while building a network at the office. shyt that was the plan but he was always saying he never got around to any of it. It wasn't just that but the fact you take what you learn and do more homework at home, by studying and understand the technologies that are demand. Come the following year, I got a new position and bounced while he told me he was still applying. Now the nikka is there 5 years later and still not doing slightly above minimum wage work and he making a couple of bucks more than students in college. Even asked him about his degree and he said he stopped applying because he got a job now.
shyt man. We were the only two brothers there and this guy got too comfortable.
