Meeting online for some people just seems to be taboo, being that, like most other posters said a lot of people online can not be trusted, and are weirdos.
When my wife and I were dating I asked her if she would ever consider meeting someone online, and her reply was no. I think most people have in their mind when you speak of online as dating sites, and not thread forums such as this where two people can actually meet by chance because of similar interest.
No lie, when I was in college I met this chick online and she tried to come across as this holier than though good girl. First time I went to her house, her mom came out the kitchen and said, "So are you coming back home tonight, or will you spend the night with this nykka like you do those other men that be coming up in here?"

You can imagine how the ride back home was when she dropped me off to my crib. When I got out the car all I could say was
