The sad part is we actually have black folks that buy into it thinking the whole city is like the Wire. When we talk about cities prospering on here Baltimore gets dismissed. You hear more talk about PG county. This thread shows that middle class blacks are eating here. On top of that we have the highest percentage of black owned businesses in the country

It's the crime and abandoned buildings that makes Baltimore unattractive to a lot of folks. I'm there every week, specifically East Baltimore. It's actually pretty nice on Belair Rd, some nice neighborhoods. It's just the area closer to downtown that scares folks with all the junkies and homeless people. People think that's all the city is when it comes to Black people.

Oh ok. But at the same time the city itself has a large middle class thats often overlooked. Me and most of the people I know are a part of this. The fact we have the highest percentage of black owned businesses in the country speaks for itself

They have a program where they’re selling them for $1. I know few people getting into this. The only issue is you have to completely fix the whole thing up yourself and have it inhabited for at least a year. Some of these vacants been empty so long there’s trees growing from them

What do you consider a lot of black people? I looked online and saw that Denver black population is 10%.

Given its location that’s not a bad percentage. I normally don’t expect to see cities with high amount of black percentages once I go west of the Midwest or West of Texas minus Oakland/Richmond CA!

Texas will probably become more black over the next few decades if jobs keep coming.

I'd like to see this chart adjusted to cost of loving.

Thats going to have a nice impact on the electoral map.
