nikkas always do this it's annoying and slavish mentality

:rudy: we've been doing that since both of them were alive though, I don't think it's ever started any fights or anything though, it's just good intellectual discussion.

People put they 21 century thoughts on Jim Crow south. Let’s be honesty, what Malcolm and the nation was facing up north was nothing close to what Martin and the civil right movement was facing down south.
I stress to a lot of people. The south needed a different kinda finesse to win, they wanted black people to attack so they could have a reason to massively kill black people cause the the kkk was ingrained in every part of the government, from the police to the court houses.

Up north they didn’t have those same attacks so they could fight force with force cause they weren’t under the same kinda pressure.

white protesters would come down south to protest him crow and segregation and they would die and never be found again, it needed a different kinda finesse

and for damn sure the nation would not have been able to come down here with the way they moved during that time period without being thrown in jail and being killed after.

both great men that was in different places, that needed different approaches

MLK got his whooped in Chicago, never in the South:stopitslime:

When u see these videos of MLK being attack, that ain't the south
king+hurt+in+chicago.jpg

On Aug. 5, 1966, in Marquette Park, where King was planning to lead a march to a realtor’s office to demand properties be sold to everyone regardless of their race, he got swarmed by about 700 white protesters hurling bricks, bottles and rocks. One of those rocks hit King, and his aides rushed to shield him, as the photo shows.

“The blow knocked King to one knee and he thrust out an arm to break the fall,” the Chicago Tribune reported at the time. “He remained in this kneeling position, head bent, for a few seconds until his head cleared.”

Afterward, King told reporters, “I’ve been in many demonstrations all across the South, but I can say that I have never seen, even in Mississippi and Alabama, mobs as hostile and as hate-filled as I’m seeing in Chicago.”

Up North was worst
Malcolm knew that Peaceful Protest shyt wasn't flying in cities like Chicago, Detroit, Philly Etc.
MLK didn't

The NOI & Chicago Gangs saved his life in Chicago

Ironically his comments about JFK and chickens coming home to roost got him suspended by the NOI and Elijah Muhammad himself.

Kinda hard to do when he was a parrot as you claim he was

Most of what Malcolm spoke were his own thoughts and opinions, especially in interviews and during his speeches
If he had deviated from Muhammad before the JFK statement, then he would have been disciplined before that statement. He spent 12 years teaching Elijah, but if all you know of Malcolm's speeches is Youtube clips, of course you will minimize or deny those hundreds of other public speaking instances I pointed out. He was a National Spokesman of course he was speaking for Muhammad.

In fact many of his most memorable quotes were from AFTER he was kicked out of the NOI
"The Nation of Islam is the best organization for Black people in America, but they must adopt Sunni Islam."<Malcolm after his 2nd trip to Mecca>
Is that quote memorable enough for you?

Dr. Martin Luther King not a ‘Dreamer’

MLK started talking Economics after moving to Chicago & getting the teachings of Elijah Muhammad

drking_hon-elijah-muhammad_07-07-2015.jpg

The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has asked all people to study the last speeches of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and to reflect on the evolution of his message—from one of an integrationist “Dreamer” in 1963, to one of a true wide-awake revolutionary in 1968 when he was murdered. It is clear that Dr. King began to consider The Teachings of The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad had profound relevance to the struggle for Black freedom in America. Dr. King and his wife Coretta met with The Hon. Elijah Muhammad at his Chicago home on February 24, 1966. Privately, Dr. King indicated a true shift in his belief that the pursuit of “integration” through “non-violent” civil rights struggle would be the answer to the righteous demands of his oppressed people.

1) those are all of the things that nationalists were trying to get (minus a military?)
but you have to have absolutely 0 outside help and assistance to achieve these things, we can do for ourselves.

2) And the civil rights movement was about throwing armless black folks in the line of fire like gun range target sheets to snuggle up under white people.

This ultimately turned out to be a terrible idea that many regretted, even dr king made statements against the movement later in life.

your avy is fukking hilarious :mjlol:

Let me be clear... I am a big proponent of Elijah Muhammad/Malcolm X/Khalid Muhammad, etc.... and I am not trying to pit one activist against another..... I just think in the 21st century, young black people don’t have the proper perspective to understand the type of sacrifices that were made during the CRM..... and the CRM was not about cozying up to white people, nor was the dismantling of Jim Crow a terrible idea

The Nation of Islam had Temples all over America, even during the Civil Wrongs Movement. They were getting attacked by police and thrown in jail since the 1930's In Detroit and Chicago. You don't know what your talking about.

Not even being funny but I literally have no idea what you're saying, especially the bolded and I read that 5 times.

Malcolm's words were his own, the video that you ignored completely, proves that. I really don't even know what you're arguing at this point

Malcolms words resonate with young black americans because of what's going on in the country now in the Trump era.

and the CRM was indeed about snuggling up w/white people..what do you call this?
