Ok:

8x All-Star
3x DPOY
8x All-NBA (including 5x 1st team)
5x All-Defense (including 4x 1st team)
1x Olympic gold

He's also 18th in total rebounds all time & 21st in blocks and could reasonably end his career in the top 10 for both.

Stick to what he's done, not to what could happen.

He's still a premier rebounder and effective defender/player at 32 despite losing pretty much all his athleticism from his heyday.

"Premier" is a relative term. He's premier because he's a one-eyed rebounder in The Land of Blind Rebounders. Wholetime, it's players in the Hall who average 14 rebounds for THEIR WHOLE CAREER.

As for his defense, he ain't fuccin' with Mark Eaton - who will never sniff the Hall - even though Mark has three things over him:

1. more blocks
2. Played to a Top-tier Division 1 college
3. Showed he responds well to coaching, because he didn't play basketball seriously until he was grown

I don't get how players like Reggie Miller or Mitch Richmond (no disrespect intended, both are HoF caliber) could get in but not Dwight who's had the better career.

You can't say outright that Dwight ain't had no better career than them, that's how. If you Hall Of Famer and your team needs a basket to win with 3 seconds left...but everybody on your team, the other team, and in the stands knows the ball is going to Hedo Turkoglu - you might not be no first ballot Hall Of Famer.
Word to Jeff Foxworthy.

I thought he was starting to develop near the end of Orlando, he was learning how to pass out of the doubles and got a little better with his back to the basket.... and then he like a lot of others started bytching about the team. opting out then opting in then opting out again. he shouldve stayed in Orlando or go to a similar type system. when he went to Lakers he was exposed mentally and skill wise, not to mention the injuries.

The fukk has McGrady done career wise that Dwight hasn't?

Are you being serious right now??

Are you asking me what Tracy McGrady, who is one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history (with scoring titles to prove it) has done better than Dwight Howard?

Stick to what he's done, not to what could happen.

Both are very realistic outcomes that could happen within 2-3 years unless he has a career-ending injury or falls the fukk off, but that's besides the point.

"Premier" is a relative term. He's premier because he's a one-eyed rebounder in The Land of Blind Rebounders. Wholetime, it's players in the Hall who average 14 rebounds for THEIR WHOLE CAREER.

He's close to 13 per game for his career despite playing in an era where it's harder to get rebounds. There's a reason most of the top rebounders of all time playing mostly in the 60s (and some 70s). It was easier to average more rebounds back then for a variety of reasons. Plus there's still some great rebounders, and even historic ones (such as Drummond & Deandre). Put Dwight in the 60s and he's putting 20RPG seasons with ease.

As for his defense, he ain't fuccin' with Mark Eaton - who will never sniff the Hall - even though Mark has three things over him:

Mark Eaton? Really :dead:

There was one thing he did better which is block shots and even then he was helped by the era he played in (which allowed him to play much closer to the hoop). Put him now and he'd get embarrassed because he doesn't have the mobility or quickness to guard anyone on the perimeter and he was also a poor rebounder for his size.

And I don't know what playing for a D1 college has to do with it. He barely got off the bench at UCLA :dead:
Dwight went 1st in the draft at 18 yo, you think he wouldn't play for any college program if he wanted to?

You can't say outright that Dwight ain't had no better career than them, that's how.

Yes, you can since he's more accomplished individually than both of them.

My man what? :dahellbill:

He's not a playmaker or a shooter, why would I want him to have the last ball? That's not his role. Shaq (and many bigs) weren't that great in late game situations as well :manny:

He had 2 "prolific" scoring seasons which lead to him accomplishing less than what Dwight has for a career. If all you value on the court is volume is shooting, then no wonder you're down playing Dwight by quoting Jeff fukking Foxworthy.

His back injuries had him go from the best big athlete I've in 30 years to being crazy slow. He was quick and fast in Orlando but hasn't been since. He's still a good player but he's a poor athlete when moving.

This is a garbage post. One of the worst I've seen on this site and I hate Dwight. Negged.

Mark Eaton? You got to be a troll.

Not to mention, Finals appearance and beat LeBron and the Big 3 to get there. Dwight was a mountain of a beast in his prime. I don't think people remember how athlete he used to be when moving. He was jet fast and quick for his size.

I can see where the hate comes from. He beasted in a relatively weak era for Cs and he's not very likeable as a person :manny:

But you can only play what's in front of you and he's still capable after nearly 15 years in the L and declined athleticism.
