All hate aside he's still top 10...if not 5, maybe. :ehh:
I can't front Melo is balling this year + He looks like he's in better shape than he was the last 2 years even tho still nowhere near that of, say LeBron. But if the Knicks were a top 2 seed he'd be in the discussion for MVP again, no doubt.

He's still a top 10 player doubt but there are so many options out there depending on the team you are putting together i can understand how some will leave him off their top 10. He's just not a great all around player but definitely one of the league's deadliest scorer, still
Melo is in the best shape of his life and in great shape just as Lebron is. You're confusing shape for athleticism. Which Melo is short on . Not Melo's fault he's not that athletic.

You have a point there but I'm mostly talking about how they play. I'm sure they play similar minutes but I feel like Lebron is always going 100 mph whereas Melo seems to pace himself more.
But like i said this year he's a lot more active on the court as opposed to 2 years ago. I remember theta lockout year i was looking at homie and he looked like he barely had any lift in his legs after 50 games. He looks much better this year.

I hope this season doesn't make him lose his motivation, which could lead to him being in weaker shape. Will be an interesting off-season for Melo as far as which team he decides to sign with.

He's just not a great facilitator. To his credit, he seemed to be improving on that this season, especially in the first half. The problem is there's not a single dude on that miserable team that could consistently score, no matter how many times Melo set them up.

not really. Nobody wins by themselves.
Yes really. Nobody is expecting him to win a championship but there is no way a so called elite player shouldnt be able to at least keep his team afloat in prolly the worst division in basketball. Its plenty of teams in NBA with less talent and a better record then the Knicks

It's a team game. If you don't play as a team, you're not going to win. Doesn't matter how good an individual player is

I understand the fact that the Knicks are horrible this year and I can see why dudes would be using that against him. We also all know he hasn't accomplished much in the playoffs in his career. Still, this is the only year he's missing the playoffs and it's not like his play has been a catalyst for that. He's playing harder than any point in his career, his shooting has improved, he's lessened his turnovers and his defense has become more passable.

You have people putting klove and other guys that have NEVER led a team to the playoffs above him while using this season's team failures as a way to shyt on melo. It really doesn't make any sense. Melo isn't a distributor, so he won't be able to carry a team of bums like lebron and, because of that, you have to factor in how fukking terrible literally everybody on the knicks has been this year. Our fans are hyping up THJR as the second best performer of the season and he's shown some offensive talent, but he might be one of the worst perimeter defenders in the league. The fact that a rookie coming off the bench that can't defend at all has been our second best player should tell you all you need to know about what's happened this year.

Like several other Knicks fans have said, I hope he bounces and enjoys success because he's wasting his time here :salute:
