As of now the 3DS, the Vita is starting to pick up though.

What target deal?Yeah the 3D gimmick never really caught on with me...
I will grab that target deal soon
If you can get over the 2DS not folding over. I was going to get one Black Friday, but.....I dont think I can deal with it.
shyt doesn't even fold over
they all work.
once you have a 3DS you'll eventually not even keep it on. I know personally i only turn it on when a nice scene pops up in a game...then turn it back off. i was really disappointed that there was like NOOO use of 3D in Pokemon Ylike you'll turn it on in game and the effect isnt being used at all. still a fun game, post game content is kinda lacking and its easily the easiest Pokemon yet.
but yeah, a 2DS is just fine. 3D wasnt really worth banking on from the looks of it. even Nintendo's 1st party games arent pushing it.

Stop worrying about shelf life and realize both have massive libraries of piff you can play2DS looksshyt doesn't even fold over
That 3D gimmick was fukking stupid. All they did was take the Dsi and added that 3D bullshyt. shyt, really, I'd just be buying a Dsi upgrade
Question for you guys: what's the self-life of each system? I don't want to buy a 3DS or Vita, only to find out they're going to be replacing each within a year or 2. I know with the Vita it will be around for awhile since it will be used as a gamepad for Ps4. What about the 3DS, though? What's stopping them from releasing something new within a year or two?
It's Nintendo, so you don't really know. They'll probably have a new model out by the end of the year. I don't think they'll be going to a completely different handheld anytime soon though. 3DS, after a slow start, is finally making then boatloads of cash. Don't think they want to stop reeling in that dough this soon. I wouldn't worry about it now2DS looksshyt doesn't even fold over
