1-3 don't sound too bad, for higher seeds. You pick up some momentum at home, and then put everything on the line to tie the series

I guess the caveat is that, after a team takes a 3-1 lead... all the adjustments, strategies, strengths and weaknesses have already balanced out. There aren't many surprises left
