You can't give one a pass without giving one to the other. To top it all off, people often call Kanye "Drake's father".

It's still :laff:that people are running with the narrative that Drake hid the "ghostwriting". If I'm not mistaken, isn't Quentin Miller credited with his writing on If You're Reading This, It's Too Late.

Drake put on Rocky tho :leon:

What you're forgetting is Kanye also uses a gang of ghostwriters even moreso than Drake
What ur forgetting is this is a discussion on being a fraud not who u like more
What you;re forgetting is Kanye takes credit for being an upper echelon MC and is even more arrogant about it than Drake..refer to my sway example

So looking down this list..its a toss up in this "fraud game" at the very least they are neck and neck

Kanye has a catalog of production that runs deep....so he can get a pass

Drake can write songs but is so lazy and complacent, he's signing RnB artists and take their hits... Add reference tracks with whole verses....and he's literally reading scripts on albums

Rocky isn't signed to OVO is he ?

This is the reason why ghostwriting itself isn't considered a big issue because passes are given. Kanye's production is one thing, him rapping is a different issue. Kanye's essentially doing the same thing that Drake does.

Drake does legendary production for over 15 years?
Drake battled Common in the 90s?
Drake battled Mos Def in the early 00s?
Drake rapped in front of other rappers for years, only to not be taken seriously?
Drake put his career on the line several times making public controversial statements?
Drake resurrected Commons career, and introduced us to John Legend?
Drake produced Takeover?
Drake ghost-produced for D-Dot?

Last time I checked Kanye never hopped entirely on another rappers dikk to make an album in another artists sound neither.

FOH y'all Drake apolgist fakkits. Kanye IS hip hop and came up in this game fighting for his role and spot. Only you faq nikkas would compare to Drake who's a fully manufactured fukk boi.

Kanye and Drake do the same things? LOL, y'all nikkas literally FORCE yourselves to accept this nikka Drake. Y'all really must be attracted to him on some fakkit shyt

Being a producer means a greater workload and depleted energy/creativity for writing/rapping.

You cant expect top tier beats and genre defining sounds with self-written hot bars...thats too much

If Drake had 40s skills on production, then it would still be a landslide in Yes favor.

That's an excuse. He could've just stayed a producer and not rapped at all. People can expect whatever they want to expect from an artist who puts themselves on a platform where it's expected. OutKast produced a lot of their own music all with self-written bars and genre defining sounds. Big Boi produces and co-produces some of his solo material. Andre 3000 produced all of The Love Below and some of the songs on Speakerboxxx. Both of them produced and co-produced OutKast songs from ATLiens up until Stankonia. Q Tip is another example. You could throw Havoc in there too. There's also Lauryn Hill.

Outkast is still a duo...WTF are you talking about ? Would you put Q Tip, Havoc and Lauryn Hill against Kanyes catalog ?

You act like these 3 produced major hits/albums for other artists

Kanye produced his own albums, the Be album and Get Lifted all while giving hits to singers and rappers....

Perhaps if he deployed all his production into himself, you'd have a point but when you are breaking new artists and making ya own classics while churning hits....

You get a pass.

Tell us what albums Drake has produced for himself ? What about other artists ?
