What's Atheistism Without Religion?
The true joy of atheism is living a life free of having to think about all of that stuff, so for me it's pure bliss. That's what I think life should be like for everyone.

Most days I don't think about or consider a God or any religions at all, I get Sundays and other major Holidays to myself, which saves me countless hours, and I'm free of that guilt/burden associated with most religions.

But I'm not one of those atheists on a crusade to cure the world of the ills of religion. And I don't get any joy out of debating it with people.

The only time it comes up with any regularity is in dating. And that's usually just as a way to find out if she'd keep it or not. Gotta be sure she won't go all Juno on me...

I'm agnostic but I'm starting to be more aware of the correlation between Christianity and c00ning...

Whenever I hear a Black person go on about "God" I just know some bullshyt is about to come regarding race relations is about to come out of their mouth.

You have to have a strong believe in someone that probably doesn't exist (God) to have faith in something that probably doesn't exist (Good White Folks)
I was raised muslim, and I gotta give black muslims credit for having a realistic view of the race situation in this country. It's black christians more often than not that lick the boots of white folks and think they're gonna one day realize the error of their ways and do the right thing.

With you making this thread its the other way around...
The difference is, so called religious folk are supposed to worry about non believers. We're supposed to do our part in helping you get to a place where you do believe.

What's your excuse mr and mrs atheist?

false reality. black muslims are pushed into being muslims with this idea that Islam is the black man's religion. OR that christianity is the white man's religion so run to islam instead, since Malcolm X was muslim.

Without people realizing Martin luther king was a christian and he was for his black people as much as malcolm. And as much as we all love X. what did X do that changed anything? Nothing that i can recall. someone with better knowledge could prove me wrong and i would be glad to be proven wrong in regard to my brotha malcolm. But we know king actually moved the needle and before he was killed he was trying to move even more needles.

So in that regard who worked out moreso for blacks? islam or christianity? but lets say you thought martin was a c00n because you dont know the REAL history of martin. you just know the white washed new age version of him.

You probably ran to islam on the strength of the NOI or nation of islam which is founded on blackness. So its Middle eastern islam with a black twist. well guess what they said Rev. Wright(obama's old minister) was doing? He was fusing christianity with blackness as well (black liberation theology as some call it). what does one make of that?

lastly. lets never forget, middle easterners that were muslims were enslaving africans too. But you rarely if ever hear about that. because if you did. then you couldnt use "chrisitanity is the white man's religion." as a reason to go the NOI route.

Truth is. Christianity in its purest form is not actually RACE based on color. however it does support a group of people (israelites) then it moves on to support all believers (gentiles that also believe.)

That's funny OP cause as an atheist I get nothing but bombarded with religious bullshyt all day by people. "Ill pray for you" "let god handle it" while I sit there and smile. People post religious shyt all over facebook and I ignore it. But the one second I declare I simply don't believe, there's a brainwashed fagget like yourself who gets all butthurt and says OMG STOP SHOVING YOUR ATHEISM DOWN MY THROAT". Sensitive ass sheeples
Kill urself bytch.

christianity and c00ning correlation is just as good as a correlation with black people and every religion or non religion. c00ning is not a product of religion. it's a product of being victimized for 100's of years by white supremacy.

So lets not think we're special just because we dont believe in a creator.

are their some good white folks out there in a world of billions of people? of course their is. thinking otherwise is not even statistically accurate. seeing though that have been stories from multiple sources that have mentioned a handful of "good white" people by name. now are their lots of them? I wont go that far. are most of them good? NO due to the fact they either choose not to fight against something that helps them which is white supremacy. even if they themselves think they are not perpetuating it. As long as they wont fight against it. they are harming the rest of us.

I don't get the appeal of either religion BTW...

Believe God relieved some shyt to an Arab guy...or believe that Jewish guy is God's son...WTF does that have to do with Black people?

thats the problem. the white man told you. you were a race of people called black people. so you worry about what that means for black people. a race that was named by the white man.

assuming God is real, assuming the bible is true. That thing we call race and color has no bearing on whether you get into heaven or not. It's not about what that will do for black people as a group. its what will it do for you as an individual no matter what color you are. obviously the better your spirit is, the better your mind would be(on average.) and if all so called black people's spirits were right. most black people's minds would be a lot better off. Which would in turn HELP so called BLACK PEOPLE here today on earth and in the afterlife.

Who said we're all obsessed with religion (hint: we're not).

I can't speak for everyone, but there are many non believers out there who simply do not believe based on the fact that there is significant evidence out that disproves the existence of a God, especially given many of Christanity's roots in paganism.

Next, just because we don't believe doesn't mean we hate on Christians or put down those who believe. I grew up in church. I've always stated that one should live in accordance with a way in which his/her world makes sense.
The problem though, is the encroaching on other's rights when we try to make others live by extremely subjective religious laws. Particularly by members of Government. Separation of church and state is something we're still battling today.

It's ok to believe what you believe. Many out there obsess about religion, many out there like me don't. I'm a normal, every day person who applies logical, rational thinking to my life in every way, including religion.

However, the notion that nonbelievers are 'hell-bound' (along with other colorful insults being thrown around here) is just as ridiculous as trying to prove there's a hell in the first place.
