The hiring process is beyond antiquated and tedious.

I get on a call with the recruiter.

Then a HR screening person

Then either a dept staff interview or an executive team interview.

Then fill out the fukkin app on the website. Or before. Its ridiculous as this point.
I miss how it was during Covid
Should have carried over to be the standard

I'm in tech so it's expected to do three interviews, but for me personally I will do one remote, one technical interview in person and maybe a third interview if I feel I am getting an offer.

If I don't feel good after the second interview then I will refuse the third interview unless I can attend remotely.

The job I got now, I got during covid and it was a 1 time phone interview. I bet if it wasnt the height of covid, it would be a few interviews in front of ppl looking like :jbhmm: after every answer.
This. I got one call while making some runs, told them I had to pull over, he said cool I’ll wait lol. Talked to first person for 20 minutes then was told I’d get a second call. In less than an hour I got another call, what later I learned was from the head of the company. They legit got my address and sent me a company laptop and information before I was even officially onboarded. Trying to find a new job now has been shell shock. I’ve never in life had to go through all this for a position.

I learned long time ago don't go past two interviews. Anything else is a waste of time.

I actually haven't encountered many places that do more than one but I'm in finance so I think it's industry specific.

One thing I won't do is any type of assessments. I refuse to do any type of unpaid work. I had one job have the gall to have one that lasted 2 hours. I see this same position from Coalition Technologies open for the past three years now :dead: . I'm sure they filled it once or twice but that's a horrible look to have the same position advertised for multiple consecutive years

I had to do 4 interviews for an internal transfer early this year. Ended up leaving the company for a different job before hearing if I even got the transfer.

my girl got a job last year that made her do a 3 page assignment, and then before she was officially hired she had to do these security trainings, all in all it was about 4 hours of her time. She was desperate so she stayed quiet, i was on the sidelines like: you know they should be paying you for this right? :birdman:
