But when you cant do much for others people aint gon fukk with you

Apply the same to black americans too...if we had worthwhile mediums OUR disposal to exchange wed get a lot of "love"....people look at shyt from the wrong perspective...whats in it for people to love you? If nothing then there ya go

:gucci:So we just gon act like Haitians the nicest people in the world. Awww man do ya'll know what it's like to go to a haitian church, haitian bible study, haitian youth programs and not speak creole and have the older haitians yell "you don't speak creole! Jesuuuuuuu"

With a look of disgust on their face :mjcry:

haitian revolution took place over 200 yrs ago. These haitian I grew up with any nothing revolutionary about them. Hahaha
Who's acting like that?? People are just telling their experiences. there's always going to be nice/bad people from everywhere. There's types of Haitian people I can't stand and there are some that I love. :yeshrug:

Those black people are on that "you runing it for me and making all these non-white people not like me because we look the same"

That's standard c00n nikkah shyte. They do it with Africans and Haitians, ole please like me ass nikkahs. Ole " stop making us look bad to these cacs" ass nikkahs

This plus people look down on immigrants period. They're not the only ones hearing snide remarks from others.

I'm assuming that a U.S. Born one would have different experiences than an immigrant.

Nahhh atleast not in my experience. I was born there and moved to the US at age 7-8 and went to a majority Jamaican middle school. Besides jokes, which I kind of deserved cause I used to go at everyone :lolbron:. There was zero animosity. Then I went to s majority white/Hispanic high school and it was all love. In college when I tell people I'm Haitian . They :salute:especially other island brehs. Some of my mothers best friends have been Jamaican, AA's and other islanders. Before she got let go at her first job the woman fighting the strongest for her was white. My uncle is dating a Jamaican girl.

So speaking from my experience I actually get more love when people find out I'm Haitian.

In Jamaica it was due to "immigrants" and drugs.

In NY the men are seen as shady/trustworthiness issues.

idk if I'd got as far as hatred

I can't remember the last time I ran into a young Haitian woman.

The reason Jamaicans have a dislike for Haitians is because when Haiti suffered the brunt of a hurricane in the 90s I think it was they started coming over by boat heavy illegally. So the Jamaican government siphoned off a plot of land on downtown kingston for refugees. And locals felt as if they made the area more destitute. And voodoo doesn't really help their case either as Jamaica has the highest number of churches per square mile in the world. I remember when a hurricane hit Haiti the hardest in 2015 or 2016 and Jamaican's were like god did that to them because they practice voodoo. And I'm like what about obeah?
A lot of Jamaicans feel as if they barely have anything and aren't in the position to help anybody(some not all).

In the same breath though Jamaican nurses and doctors did go to Haiti for relief when the hurricane ran through Haiti. As they have everytime disaster struck in Haiti.

Colonialism and white supremacy did a number on black camaraderie.
