I figure That as a kid and as a jordan stan I’d also hate a player who beat jordan in the finals. But the GOAT never lost in the finals so it’s all speculation

Steph and the warriors are the reason why lebron has so many finals losses and doesn’t already have 5-6+ Rings

so all these grown men who stan lebron were pissed at Steph and the warriors for
shytting on their idol.

and why they’re now saying there’s no asterisk even tho the same reasons for asterisks in 2015 are present. but bisexuality doesn’t make sense and that’s why their arguments don’t make any sense. Can’t reason with bisexuals :dame: :manny:
no bron fan hates dirk Nowitzki or tim duncan

we do get irritated by front running jumps shooters (behind uncalled illegal screens) with 0 finals mvps, who are so insecure in their own abilities that they beg the 2nd best player in the NBA to join their 73 win team in order to beat Bron

:gucci: Why do you mention the teams that lost in earlier rounds as if the Lakers didn't beat the teams those teams lost to?
Because during the 2015 postseason, cats were bringing up the fact that the Warriors dodged the Clippers and the Spurs.
And comparing injured role players (Ariza, Barton, Hood) and stars who played all or most of the games that mattered (Dame, Westbrook and Murray) to the injuries sustained during the Warriors run (Love, Kyrie, and Kawhi missing entire series' and CP3 missing the most crucial games of the series) is asinine. The Lakers were missing role players throughout the playoffs as well (Bradley was out of the bubble and Rondo missed the seeding games and the entire first round) and plenty of Lakers players played hobbled (Anthony Davis had ankle and heel injuries, Danny Green had a hip and achilles injury, Alex Caruso had a wrist injury, Lebron had groin soreness and a bruised thigh).
Another wild swing and a miss.

This is thread is about the 2015 Warriors and their postseason run. Hence why I'm comparing the '15 Warriors postseason run to the '20 Lakers postseason run. It's pretty straight-forward.

How you just going to revise history like this, my bro?

The Asterisk talk was the dominant talking point when the Warriors won. I remember, vividly, because I was arguing with cats about it.
All i remember that off season (even now) that the Warriors were lucky that Jrue Holiday was injured :shaq2:, that mike Conley was out , or that Patrick Beverly :rudy: was out. Also not to mention they didn’t have to play the clippers (blew a 3-1 lead :camby:) or the spurs . Did any of the narratives not take place :mindblown::mindblown::mindblown::mindblown:

Edit: Didn’t see that you already posted it :lolbron:

In 2015 it was a big deal cause Kyrie and Love were clearly the #2 and #3 on the team and missed the entire series. The Cavs were starting Delly, Shump, TT and Mosgov....outside of LeBron it didn't even look like they should be a competitive team. Also, Steph was being put up as the #1 in the world even though his only title came under those circumstances so that rubbed some the wrong way.

MJ in 1991 doesn't hit as hard cause Worthy and Scott played most of the series.

Kawhi in 2019 really is a bit similar and I'm surprised folk don't make a bigger deal about it. But I think it was cause with Steph-Klay-Iggy-Draymond-Cousins it still looked like the Warriors had a competitive lineup that should have had a chance to win. I think that if Klay had missed the entire series instead of just 1.5 games then people would make a bigger deal about it.

No one is going to make a big deal about 2020 cause everyone already assumed the Lakers were winning regardless. But they're definitely not going to hold the loss against Butler either - he looked incredible in a tough situation. And outside of ring-counting it doesn't really add much of anything to Bron's legacy cause the circumstances just weren't that difficult.

Not that I agree or disagree, but you’re the only logical user who isn’t a biased Bron-hater who’s saying this. Every other pro-LeBron user says this win adds to his legacy while every LeBron-hater says this win doesn’t add to this legacy because it was too easy and things bounced the Lakers way. And part of the reasoning of the former group, is that in their estimation, the Heat injuries had no real baring on the ultimate outcome of the series, and that bringing up the Heat injuries is just an excuse. Again, they may be very right. And I don’t completely disagree. But like I said in the other thread, everyone has their own narratives. The same ppl who wanted to put an asterisk next to GS in 2015, are the same ppl who want this latest Lebron title to be almost like a complete coronation of LeBrons career and legacy. And I’m just chuckling in the midst of it all. In my opinion, this title definitely adds to LeBrons legacy and all time ranking. I just think ppl need to stop being hypocrites and just give 2015 GS their due.

I mean certain people are gonna have their agenda depending on who they gonna root for or against, which is why people just gotta accept the fact that the injury shyt happens most of the time and you just gotta deal with it.

Would I have loved for The Cavs to have had Kyrie and Love healthy in 2015 and win the chip that season yeah but then I would also have to accept the fact that Warriors fully healthy with no suspensions beat the Cavs in 2016 so it evens out :yeshrug:

:dwillhuh:
Again, only you and @Rhakim seem to be totally honest and unbiased here. Albeit, different arguments, but ultimately the same conclusion.

Who does this? Warriors are widely regarded as an all-time squad and misnomer "dynasty" . Steph is held up as a gamechanger. I hear more about Ray Allen's shot to "save Bron" from 2 years prior, to this day, than I do about that as a negative on Curry that is. People mention it when defending Bron but I don't hear it as a means of shytting on Curry. Only speaking for myself though. Maybe I'm missing all this 2015 Warriors talk in 2020 :manny:.

The reality is that many a chip has been swayed by injuries. People only dwell on them when it's a team that they like that had the injuries or a team that they don't like benefiting.
I’ve heard the Golden State asterisk talk from The Coli all the way to the Barbarshops since 2015. And it got ramped up in 2016. The Cavs injuries have been the perfect caveat for the past 5yrs. And KD joining the warriors “ruining a potential Cleveland title defense/dynasty” has been the ultimate pro-LeBron caveat since 2017. It’s part of the reason all my Bron-fan friends always had something slick to say about the Warriors or about KD or about Kyrie after he left. Everyone side has their perfectly crafted narratives.
