That was the path I took, my vision is trash without contacts/glasses and I paid too much in dental work over the years so I opted for firearms training and weight lifting over the years. I ain't want to get hit in the face and have to pay out of pocket
Yeah, and being able to handle firearms proficiently will build confidence and discipline. I'd be doing more 3-Gun training if ammo wasn't so expensive.
I wear my training on the internet to inspire others to train in a fitness related disciplines but offline you'd never know unless I meet another who's initiated in the arts.
The confidence still permeates and people respect it. You can be kind without reciprocation. It's easier to let bullshyt slide. It's easier to be encouraging and happier for others who are winning. It's easier to take inspiration from others who dedicate themselves to activities outside of fitness. I enjoy encouraging people. Overall it's done a lot for my attitude.
